BEIJING, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- Chinese leader Hu Jintao delivered a report on Thursday at the opening of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC). The following are key quotes from his report:

-- The most important achievement in our endeavors in the past ten years is that we have formed the Scientific Outlook on Development and put it into practice.

總結(jié)十年奮斗歷程，最重要的就是我們堅(jiān)持以馬克思列寧主義、毛澤東思想、鄧小平理論、“三個(gè)代表”重要思想為指導(dǎo)，于推進(jìn)實(shí)踐基礎(chǔ)上的理論創(chuàng)新，圍繞堅(jiān)持和發(fā)展中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義提出一系列緊密相連、相互貫通的新思想、新觀點(diǎn)、新論斷，形成和貫徹了科學(xué)發(fā)展觀。

-- This theory provides new scientific answers to the major questions of what kind of development China should achieve in a new environment and how the country should achieve it.

科學(xué)發(fā)展觀對(duì)新形勢(shì)下實(shí)現(xiàn)什么樣的發(fā)展、怎樣發(fā)展等重大問題作出了新的科學(xué)回答，把我們對(duì)中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義規(guī)律的認(rèn)識(shí)提高到新的水平，開辟了當(dāng)代中國(guó)馬克思主義發(fā)展新境界。

-- Together with Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thought of Three Represents, the Scientific Outlook on Development is the theoretical guidance the Party must adhere to for a long time.
