James Ford:

Sentences that indicate the time something will occur are almost never correctly phrased by Chinese people.

詹姆斯·福德表示,中國(guó)人在表達(dá)“······即將到來(lái)”的時(shí)候幾乎都用錯(cuò)了方式。

The most common statement is,

其中最常見(jiàn)的就是:

"He will arrive after one hour". Again, I understand,

他會(huì)在一個(gè)小時(shí)之后來(lái)。是的,我懂,

but a native speaker would never say that.

但是,一個(gè)以英文為母語(yǔ)的人絕對(duì)不會(huì)這么說(shuō)

正確的表達(dá)方式還是由小編來(lái)告大家,其實(shí)外國(guó)人表達(dá)“之后”,更喜歡用in,后面加上時(shí)間點(diǎn)兒。

The other phrase I seem to hear often is,

另一個(gè)我經(jīng)常聽(tīng)到的短語(yǔ)表達(dá)是:

 "You have a rest".

While it's not seriously incorrect is another repeated phrase I hear only in China (Americans would say).

這個(gè)表達(dá)只在中國(guó)有聽(tīng)過(guò),其實(shí)嚴(yán)格地說(shuō)倒也不是不對(duì),但外國(guó)人一般會(huì)說(shuō)成:

"go get some rest"

網(wǎng)友Ron TF Lum:

I took Chinese language courses in college so I know the reason for this is because the word used to refer to a person is unisex(不分性別), "ta" or 他. So for Chinese speakers, distinguishing he/she isn't always an ingrained habit.

網(wǎng)友Ron TF Lum說(shuō),大學(xué)里他上過(guò)中文課,所以我也表示理解,因?yàn)樵谥形漠?dāng)中男“他”和女“她”的發(fā)音是一樣的,所以在分辨的時(shí)候,中國(guó)人也沒(méi)有這個(gè)習(xí)慣。

額,這就比較尷尬了。

網(wǎng)友Ryan Chew:

In English, tenses are indicated by adding word endings, thereby altering the word itself. Chinese words are isolated and do not change meaning. Instead, additional words are postfixed to reflect past tenses.

英語(yǔ)中的時(shí)態(tài)都體現(xiàn)在動(dòng)詞的詞尾上,而中文里沒(méi)有這種詞形變化,要靠補(bǔ)充其他詞來(lái)表示。

舉幾個(gè)栗子,你就明白了:

我吃過(guò)了。

English: I have eaten.

Chinglish: I eat already.

我去過(guò)了。

English: I went there.

Chinglish: I go already.

我見(jiàn)過(guò)她了。

English: I have met her.

Chinglish: I meet her already.

還有的情況是醬紫的:

剛來(lái)的時(shí)候看到很多大廈門(mén)口都有smoke free~ 我由衷感嘆加拿大就是好,抽煙都免費(fèi)!朋友那個(gè)汗……(Smoke Free是禁止吸煙。)

有一天去KFC,要土豆泥不會(huì)說(shuō),就在那里跟人家苦喊potato sauce。然后,人給我了7、8袋ketchup(番茄醬)。被鄙視了~~(Mashed Potato,土豆泥……)

有次買(mǎi)車(chē)票,工作人員問(wèn)我:"One way?" 我回答:"No, two way." 他又問(wèn)了我?guī)妆?,我的答案還是一樣的…… 結(jié)果那人很郁悶地看著我,后來(lái)才反應(yīng)過(guò)來(lái)自己還在中文的思維中。我把他的意思理解為One way=一位? 我們是兩個(gè)人,所以two way=兩位……

有次房東問(wèn)我:"Did you eat anything yet?" 我說(shuō):"No." 她聽(tīng)后重復(fù)了一遍:"So you didn't eat anything." 我說(shuō):"Yes..." 房東老太太猶豫了下,又問(wèn):"Did you eat?" 我說(shuō):"No." 她接著說(shuō):"So you didn't eat." 我說(shuō):"Yes." ……估計(jì)她當(dāng)時(shí)要崩潰了~

我剛來(lái)的時(shí)候鄰居小孩看見(jiàn)我跟我說(shuō)What's up。我疑惑地朝天上看了半天然后說(shuō)了句up?那孩子頓時(shí)無(wú)語(yǔ)。

好啦,今天的內(nèi)容就是這些嘍,小編希望,大家不僅要說(shuō),更要把英語(yǔ)說(shuō)的地道,珍愛(ài)生命,遠(yuǎn)離尷尬癌
