kick the bucket可不是“踢水桶”的意思，真實(shí)含義是“死掉，一命嗚呼”。相傳，在中古時(shí)期，對(duì)犯人執(zhí)行絞刑時(shí)，死犯就站在桶上面，脖子被套上套索。行刑的人把水桶踢掉，死犯就會(huì)去世了。所以這句習(xí)語就引申為這個(gè)意思啦。
