shot是射擊。long shot是射程遠(yuǎn)。常識(shí)告訴我們，射程遠(yuǎn)，擊中的可能性就很小。因此可以用long shot來表示做某事成功的可能性小、沒什么勝算、機(jī)會(huì)不大。
