Undoubtedly, one of the greatest inventions in the field of communications is the cell phone. You can keep in touch with your friends no matter where and when. However, as there are exceptions to every scenario ( 情節(jié)、情況), the misuses of your cell phone can become a nuisance for other people. Therefore, you must be aware of the following basic "etiquette"( 禮節(jié)).

When you are in a public place like shopping mall, theater, restaurant or elevator, please keep your conversations brief and try your best to lower your voice. It is important to understand that the general public is not interested in your private conversations; and your conversations should not disturb the people around you.

You'd better not make a phone call when you are driving, since you are risking the lives of many other people on the road, as well as your own. If there is something emergent, just stop your car near the roadside for a while.

Please turn off your cell phone or keep it in silent mode when you are participating in some interviews, meetings, negotiations and so on.
