詞類轉(zhuǎn)譯法（2）

　　(一)名詞轉(zhuǎn)譯成動(dòng)詞

　　英語(yǔ)中大量由動(dòng)詞派生的名詞和具有動(dòng)作意義的名詞以及其它名詞往往可轉(zhuǎn)譯成漢語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞。

　　1. 由動(dòng)詞派生的名詞轉(zhuǎn)譯成動(dòng)詞，在政論文體中出現(xiàn)比較多。

　　1) One after another, speakers called for the downfall of imperialism, abolition of exploitation of man by man,liberation of the oppressed of the world.

　　發(fā)言人一個(gè)接一個(gè)表示要打倒帝國(guó)主義，要消滅人剝削人的制度，要解放世界上的被壓迫人民。

　　2) Until 1972, all efforts by the two nations to curb the nuclear-arms race had founded on one point: U. S. insistence on the right to make on-site inspections of the Soviet strategic arsenal and Russia's refusal.

　　到一九七二年為止，美蘇之間關(guān)于限制核軍備競(jìng)賽的一切努力都在這一點(diǎn)上失敗了：美國(guó)堅(jiān)持有權(quán)視察蘇方戰(zhàn)略武器現(xiàn)場(chǎng)，而蘇聯(lián)則拒絕這樣做。

　　3) The 1967 UN document calls for the settlement of the Middle East conflict on the basis of Israeliwithdrawal from occupied territories and Arab acknowledgement of Israeli's right to exist.

　　1967年聯(lián)合國(guó)文件要求在以色列撤出所占的土地以及阿拉伯承認(rèn)以色列的生存權(quán)利的基礎(chǔ)上來(lái)解決中東沖突。

　　4) Rockets have found application for the exploration of the universe.

　　火箭已經(jīng)用來(lái)探索宇宙。
