Substition was coined by the British novelist Terry Pratchett, who died on March 12, 2015 from Alzheimer's disease. It's the opposite of superstition. That is, a superstition is something that isn't real, but many people believe, so a substition is something that is real, but many people do not believe.

這個詞是由英國小說家泰瑞·普萊契創(chuàng)造的(普萊契于2015年3月12日死于阿茲海默癥)。該詞是superstition(迷信)的反義詞。也就是說，superstition是某種不真實的事物，但許多人相信，而substition則是某種真實存在的事物，但許多人卻反而不信。

Substition和substitution(代替，替換)在拼寫上極為相似，在學習和背誦時一定要注意兩者的差別。
