復活節(jié)
Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after vernal equinox （春分）every year. It comes between March 22 and April 25. this year it falls on 4th, April. The word "Easter" is named after Eastre, the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring. Christians commemorate Good Friday as the day that Jesus Christ died and Easter Sunday as the day that He was resurrected （復活）.

The custom of an Easter egg hunt began because children believed that hares laid eggs in the grass. The Romans believed that "All life comes from an egg." Christians consider eggs to be "the seed of life" and so they are symbolic of the resurrection of Jesus Christ
復活節(jié)是基督教紀念耶穌復活的一個宗教節(jié)日。每年，春分過去，第一次月圓后的第一個星期日就是復活節(jié)。日期年年不同，一般在3月22日至4月25日之間。今年是4月4日。
復活節(jié)有不少傳統(tǒng)習慣，最典型的要數(shù)復活節(jié)彩蛋。古人常把蛋視為多子多孫和復活的象征。后來基督教徒又賦予蛋新的涵義，認為它是耶穌墓的象征，未來的生命就是從其中掙脫而出世的。復活節(jié)時人們把雞蛋染成紅色，代表耶穌受難時流出的鮮血，同時也象征復活后的快樂。還有一種古老的習俗，是把煮熟的雞蛋送給街頭的孩子們做游戲，他們把蛋往前滾，誰的蛋最后破，誰就獲得勝利，蛋全歸他所有。
兔子也是復活節(jié)的象征。因為兔子繁殖力很強，所以人們把它視為新生命的表現(xiàn)者。大人常繪聲繪色地告訴孩子復活節(jié)彩蛋是兔子下的，并把彩蛋放在花園里，讓孩子們玩找蛋游戲。
現(xiàn)在每逢復活節(jié)，美國大小糖果店總要出售用巧克力制成的復活節(jié)小兔和彩蛋。這些彩蛋小的和雞蛋差不多，大的竟有甜瓜那么大，孩子們自然喜歡，送給親戚朋友，也不失為上佳禮品。
