We use this expression when we want to offer help to somebody. It is short for 'Do you need a hand?'

當(dāng)我們想詢問某人是否需要我們的幫助時(shí)，我們就會(huì)使用這個(gè)說法。是“你需要搭把手嗎?”的簡(jiǎn)潔說法。

A: Need a hand with those shopping bags?
