“people person”指的是什么樣的人？

《70年代秀》里Eric準(zhǔn)備和朋友去面試漢堡店里的工作，

面試時(shí)出現(xiàn)了這么一段對(duì)話：

—Tell me, what do you consider your best quality?

—I'm a real people person.

——告訴我，你覺(jué)得自己最大的優(yōu)點(diǎn)是什么?

——我善于社交。

“people”和“person”雖然都表示“人”，

但是“people person”不能翻譯為“人人”，

而是要翻譯為

“有人緣的人;善于與人打交道的人;受歡迎的人”。

它的英文解釋是

Someone who is particularly gregarious, affable, or outgoing; someone with great interpersonal communication skills.

這個(gè)表達(dá)可以用在面試中哦。

關(guān)于這個(gè)表達(dá)咱們來(lái)舉個(gè)例子：

My late grandfather was such a people person. Whenever he was in the room, everyone was all smiles.

我已故的祖父很有人緣，只要他在的地方，大家都會(huì)笑容滿面。

關(guān)于“愛(ài)社交的人;善于與人打交道的人”咱們還可以用下面的這些表達(dá)：

1. social butterfly 交際花

可千萬(wàn)不要把“交際花”翻譯成“social flower”!

A social butterfly moves among people at a gathering easily, like a butterfly flying from flower to flower.

交際花是指在聚會(huì)中能夠在人群中自在游走，就像蝴蝶在花朵間來(lái)回穿梭一樣。

這樣的人很喜歡與人交流。

舉個(gè)例子：

Tom's always been something of a social butterfly, so we've never really worried about him making friends or finding his way in the world.

湯姆很喜歡與人打交道，所以我們從不擔(dān)心他找不到朋友或者沒(méi)有立足之地。

2. gregarious [gr?'ge?r??s]

adj. 愛(ài)交際的，合群的

gre-源自group，表示群體的意思+arious:愛(ài)……的

愛(ài)群體的人一般是很喜歡社交的人。(seeking and enjoying the company of others)

舉個(gè)例子：

These people are always gregarious and outgoing.

這些人通常很愛(ài)社交、性格外向。
