你是否能流暢地讀完這句話呢?讀完后有木有發(fā)現(xiàn)什么不一樣的地方?

仔細(xì)看看,句子中單詞的拼寫大多是錯(cuò)誤的,可我們還是理解了句子要表達(dá)的意思,是不是覺得很神奇?

小編接下來就來跟大家分享一些英文中的小趣事(期待不?ヾ(o?∀?)?ヾ)
1. 曾經(jīng),英國人不會(huì)說英語?。?!

For more than a century, the English aristocracy couldn't speak English. William, the Conqueror tried to learn English at the age of 43 but gave up. Within 20 years of the Normans taking power in England, almost all of the local religious institutions were French-speaking. There is little to suggest that aristocrats themselves spoke English. It isn't until the end of the 12th Century that we have evidence of the children of the English aristocracy with English as a first language.
有一個(gè)世紀(jì)多的時(shí)間,英國貴族不會(huì)說英語。英國國王威廉一世曾在43歲時(shí)嘗試學(xué)習(xí)英語,但半途而廢。諾曼人控制英國的20年里,大部分的地方宗教機(jī)構(gòu)都說法語。鮮有證據(jù)顯示英國的貴族自己會(huì)說英語。證據(jù)顯示,直到12世紀(jì)末,才有英國貴族子女以英語為第一語言。
aristocracy 英 [,ær?'st?kr?s?] 美 [,ær?'stɑkr?si]
n. 貴族;貴族統(tǒng)治;上層社會(huì);貴族政治
aristocrat 英 ['ær?st?kræt; ?'r?st-] 美 [?'r?st?kræt] n. 貴族
2. 英語和美語的差異因一人而起。

One man is largely responsible for the differences between American and British spelling. Noah Webster, whose name you still find on the front of many American dictionaries, was a patriotic man. Between 1783 and 1785, he produced three books about the English language for American school children. During his lifetime, 385 editions of his Speller were published. The modern US spelling of color was initially spelt in the British way, colour, but this changed in later editions.

The longest word in the English language is pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconioses!
英語中最長的單詞是“pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconioses”(硅酸鹽沉著病)!
數(shù)數(shù)這一個(gè)單詞中包含了多少個(gè)英文字母?
4. 洋蔥竟來源于大珍珠?

The onion is named after the Latin word"unio"meaning large pearl.
單詞"onion"(洋蔥)來自于拉丁詞"unio", 意思是大珍珠。
5. 英語單詞何時(shí)快速增加?

The Renaissance, which started in Italy and reached England via France, was a massive source of new vocabulary. New ideas, or old ideas rediscovered, started flooding out of the southern cities but there were no words to describe them in English. So the language adopted or adapted the Latin words. During the Renaissance, the English lexicon roughly doubled in size.
renaissance 英 [r??ne?sns] 美 [?ren?sɑ:ns; ?r?n??sɑns]
