Fred 32歲了，還是單身。

One day a friend asked, "Why aren't you married? Can't you find a woman who will be a good wife?"

一天一個(gè)朋友問(wèn)，“為什么你不結(jié)婚?你找不到一個(gè)能成為好妻子的女人嗎?”

Fred replied, "Actually, I've found many women that I have wanted to marry, but when I bring them home to meet my parents, my mother doesn't like them."

Fred回答說(shuō)，“其實(shí)，我找到了很多我想結(jié)婚的女人，但是我把她們帶回家見(jiàn)父母時(shí)，我媽媽不喜歡她們。”

His friend thinks for a moment and says, "I've got the perfect solution, just find a girl who's just like your mother."

他朋友想了一會(huì)，然后說(shuō)，“我有一個(gè)好辦法，你就找一個(gè)像你媽媽的人不就行了。”

A few months later they meet again and his friend says, "Did you find the perfect girl? Did your mother like her?"

幾個(gè)月過(guò)后，他們由見(jiàn)面了，他的朋友問(wèn)，“你找到你的完美女孩了嗎?你媽媽喜歡她嗎?”

With a frown on his face, Fred answers, "Yes, I found the perfect girl. She was just like my mother. You were right, my mother liked her very much."

眉頭緊蹙，F(xiàn)red答道，“恩，我找到了完美女孩，她就像我媽媽一樣。你說(shuō)的對(duì)，我媽媽很喜歡她。”

The friend said, "Then what's the problem?"

朋友問(wèn)，“那又是什么問(wèn)題，你們沒(méi)在一起呢?”

Fred replied, "My father doesn't like her."

Fred 回答說(shuō)，“我爸爸不喜歡她。”
