This earth-shaking revolutionary feat is a magnificent epic written by the CPC and the Red Army and a towering monument in the process of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

長征的勝利，是中國共產(chǎn)黨人理想的勝利，是中國共產(chǎn)黨人信念的勝利。“風雨浸衣骨更硬，野菜充饑志越堅;官兵一致同甘苦，革命理想高于天。”在風雨如磐的長征路上，崇高的理想，堅定的信念，激勵和指引著紅軍一路向前。在紅一方面軍二萬五千里的征途上，平均每300米就有一名紅軍犧牲。長征這條紅飄帶，是無數(shù)紅軍的鮮血染成的。艱難可以摧殘人的肉體，死亡可以奪走人的生命，但沒有任何力量能夠動搖中國共產(chǎn)黨人的理想信念。

On the difficult road of the Long March,the ideal and firm faith encouraged and guided the Red Army to march forward. During the 25,000-li journey of the First Front Red Army, one Red Army soldier sacrificed every 300 meters. This road is like a long ribbon reddened by the blood of numerous martyrs. The Long March was a great expedition that blazed new trails. The victory of the Long March was that of orientation and road. The Long March constituted not only of defeating the enemy to win victories and achieve strategic aims, but also the process of exploring realities, developing theories and finding revolutionary path. In the face of entangled dangerous situation, our Party displayed a great fearless spirit that characterized a great creation and rebirth through blood and fire, leading our revolutionary path to victory.

80年來，世界范圍內(nèi)關于紅軍長征的報道和研究層出不窮，慕名前來尋訪長征路的人絡繹不絕。國際社會越來越多的人認為，紅軍長征是20世紀最能影響世界前途的重要事件之一，是充滿理想和獻身精神、用意志和勇氣譜寫的人類史詩。長征迸發(fā)出的激蕩人心的強大力量，跨越時空，跨越民族，是人類為追求真理和光明而不懈努力的偉大史詩。

It is indeed a great epic that represents unwavering efforts of mankind in seeking truth and illumination.

偉大長征精神，就是把全國人民和中華民族的根本利益看得高于一切，堅定革命的理想和信念，堅信正義事業(yè)必然勝利的精神;就是為了救國救民，不怕任何艱難險阻，不惜付出一切犧牲的精神;就是堅持獨立自主、實事求是，一切從實際出發(fā)的精神;就是顧全大局、嚴守紀律、緊密團結的精神;就是緊緊依靠人民群眾，同人民群眾生死相依、患難與共、艱苦奮斗的精神。

History is consistently advancing forward. If we want to arrive at the ideal, we have to march on the set path continuously. Different generations have different Long March journeys, they should well take their own road. We should always trust the people, closely depend on them, and fully arouse the vast number of people's initiative and creativity, so that we can collect the united and boundless strength.

“水能載舟，亦能覆舟。”這個道理我們必須牢記，任何時候都不能忘卻。老百姓是天，老百姓是地。忘記了人民，脫離了人民，我們就會成為無源之水、無本之木，就會一事無成。我們要堅持黨的群眾路線，始終保持黨同人民群眾的血肉聯(lián)系，始終接受人民群眾批評和監(jiān)督，心中常思百姓疾苦，腦中常謀富民之策，使我們黨永遠贏得人民群眾信任和擁護，使我們的事業(yè)始終擁有不竭的力量源泉。

"Water can carry a boat, it can also overturn it." We must remember that. To pass on the enpowering spirit of the Long March and to walk along today's path of Long March, we must have a grasp of the right direction and bear a whole picture in mind, and work energetically to accomplish our ultimate task and goal. The success of the Long March shows us that to stand on the test of time, a political party must always stay ahead of the times, go with the flow of history, scientifically lay out plans, and take the strategic initiative to realize our strategic goals.

To pass on the great spirit of the Long March and to walk along the path of today's Long March, we must establish a strong national defense and armed forces that are compatible with the international status of our country and with our national security and development interests. The success of the Long March shows us that the people's army are the pillars of the revolution and the hope of the nation, the Party's absolute leadership of the army is the fundamental guarantee of the victory.

全軍要增強憂患意識、危機意識、使命意識，以只爭朝夕的精神推進國防和軍隊現(xiàn)代化，擔負起維護國家主權、安全、發(fā)展利益的重大責任。

The entire army must develop a greater awareness of danger, crisis and responsiblity, seize the moment to help with the modernization process of national defense, and shoulder the important responsibilities of protecting national sovereignty, security and development.

“自知者英，自勝者雄。”民族復興夢想越接近，改革開放任務越繁重，越要加強黨的建設。

"Heroes are those who know themselves and can overcome their own difficulties." The closer we are to the dream of national rejuvenation and more arduous the reform and openning-up mission become, the more necessary it proves to strengthen the Party building.
