Yes, but I should like to see him.

But I don't think thou wilt be able to at present.

見見他，說(shuō)起來(lái)容易，可要見到他太難了。

I don't know exactly what's the matter with him; buthe keeps close inside the house; a sort of sick, andyet he don't look so. In fact, he ain't sick; but no, heisn't well either.

船一靠岸，他就回了家，足不出戶，我也見不著他了。也許他病了吧，也許沒有，不過，可以肯定的是，他身體不太好。

Any how, young man, he won't always see me, so I don't suppose he will thee.

年輕人,他不總是找到我我,所以我不認(rèn)為他會(huì)找上你。

He's a queer man, Captain Ahab—so some think—but a good one. Oh, thou'lt like him wellenough; no fear, no fear. He's a grand, ungodly, god-like man, Captain Ahab; doesn't speakmuch; but, when he does speak, then you may well listen.

有人說(shuō)他是個(gè)怪人，也許吧，可他還是個(gè)好人!你不用怕，你一定會(huì)喜歡上他的。他是個(gè)偉大的人;他不敬神卻像一尊神;他輕易不開口，可一開口就夠你受的。你要完全服從于他!

Mark ye, be forewarned; Ahab's above the common; Ahab's been in colleges, as well as 'mongthe cannibals; been used to deeper wonders than the waves; fixed his fiery lance in mightier,stranger foes than whales.

亞哈絕不是凡夫俗子，他上過大學(xué)，也到過吃人生番聚居的蠻荒之地，他在海上戰(zhàn)斗，用魚槍對(duì)付過比大鯨魚更可怕的家伙!

His lance! aye, the keenest and the surest that out of all our isle!

說(shuō)到他的魚槍，那可是他的驕傲!他有百發(fā)百中的神功!
