Struck by this plain matter-of-fact question, I answered, saying, Yes, I thought I did see fouror five men; but it was too dim to be sure.

看見了，有四五個(gè)人吧!不過(guò)比較模糊。我耐心地回答了他。

Very dim, very dim, said Elijah. Morning to ye.

噢，很模糊，很模糊!好吧，早上好!

Once more we quitted him; but once more he came softly after us; and touching my shoulderagain, said, See if you can find 'em now, will ye?

我們加快了腳步，可他又跟了上來(lái)，低低地問： 試試看，你們還能看見他們的影子嗎?

Morning to ye! morning to ye! he rejoined, again moving off.
