Words hold great power. Some people don’t mind the word diet.To others, it spells torture and deprivation. If you’re in this group, don’t tell yourself you’re“going on a diet.”Say you’re“starting a new eating plan" or“cutting down on calories.”Members of Overeaters Anonymous(OA),for example, say they are‘"abstaining from、overeating."
But don’t avoid the word diet altogether.Just change your opinion of the word.Think of a diet as a way of doing something great for yourself-not as a form of deprivation. Tell yourself you’re "cleansing your body from the inside out, freeing yourself of fat.”
