不要高興得太早。

Don't count your chickens before they hatch 可以理解為：“在雞蛋還未孵化的時(shí)候，不要計(jì)算有多少只雞。因?yàn)殡u蛋一天未孵化，也就不知道能不能孵化出小雞來(lái)，只有小雞孵出來(lái)之后才算數(shù)。”所以這個(gè)習(xí)語(yǔ)也就是說(shuō)：“不要太早下定論，不要高興得太早”。因此，當(dāng)美國(guó)人說(shuō)"Don't count your chickens before they hatch."時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"Don't jump to conclusions too early."、"Don't draw a hasty conclusion."。
