Fishing is my favourite sport. I often fish for hourswithout catching anything. But this does not worryme. Some fishermen are unlucky. Instead of catchingfish, they catch old boots and rubbish. I am evenless lucky. I never catch anything-not even oldboots. After having spent whole mornings on theriver, I always go home with an empty bag. ‘Youmust give up fishing!' my friends say.‘It's a wasteof time.' But they don't realize one important thing. I'm not really interested in fishing.I am only interested in sitting in a boat and doing nothing at all !
精講筆記：
10.‘It's a waste of time.'
“那簡直就是在浪費時間。”
語言點 it is句型，意思是“它是……”。
It’s a book of mine = It’s my book.它是我的書。
11.But they don't realize one important thing.
但是他們沒有意識到重要的一點。
語言點 don’t realize意為“沒有意識到”，即“忽略”，相當(dāng)于ignore / neglect
原句可改為：But they ignore one important thing.
12.I'm not really interested in fishing.
我并不是真的對釣魚有興趣。
語言點 “對……感興趣，喜歡”的表達：like; love;favor;relish;be fond of; be keen on;beinterested in;be crazy about;devote oneself to
13.I am only interested in sitting in a boat and doing nothing at all !
我感興趣的只是獨坐孤舟，無所事事的感覺!
語言點1 注意be interested in后加動名詞、名詞的用法：
He is interested in watching American movies now. 他現(xiàn)在對看美國電影很感興趣。
語言點2 doing nothing“什么事都不做”，補充學(xué)習(xí)兩個句子：
You are something. 你真了不起!(錯誤翻譯：你什么都是!)
You are nothing. 你真沒用!
