Lesson20 One man in a boat

課文內(nèi)容：

Fishing is my favourite sport. I often fish for hourswithout catching anything. But this does not worryme. Some fishermen are unlucky. Instead ofcatching fish, they catch old boots and rubbish.I am even less lucky. I never catch anything-noteven old boots. After having spent whole morningson the river, I always go home with an empty bag. ‘You must give up fishing!' my friends say.‘It's awaste of time.' But they don't realize one important thing. I'm not really interested in fishing. Iam only interested in sitting in a boat and doing nothing at all !

4.Some fishermen are unlucky.

有些垂釣者就是不走運(yùn)。

語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)1 some fishermen為復(fù)數(shù)主語(yǔ)，系動(dòng)詞用are符合主謂一致原則。

語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)2 unlucky中“-un”為否定前綴。前綴改變?cè)~義，加否定前綴一般將單詞變成其否定形式： unligtted未被點(diǎn)燃的;unlike不同的;unlimited無(wú)限的;unlicensed未經(jīng)許可的;unknown 不知道的;unkind無(wú)情的

5.Instead of catching fish, they catch old boots and rubbish.

他們往往釣不到魚(yú)，卻釣上來(lái)一些舊靴子和垃圾。

語(yǔ)言點(diǎn) “instead of+名詞”意思是“代替某人/某物”。

I did this work instead of my brother.我替我弟弟完成了這份工作。

Instead of being a doctor, he joined the army. 他原本是要當(dāng)一名醫(yī)生的，結(jié)果卻去參軍了。He waswatching TV instead of doing homework. 他本應(yīng)該做作業(yè)，結(jié)果卻在看電視。

特別注意：1) instead of在句子中的位置可前可后;

原句可變?yōu)椋篢hey catch old boots and rubbish instead of catching fish.

2) instead of后面一定要接名詞、代詞或動(dòng)名詞。

6.I am even less lucky.

我的運(yùn)氣甚至還不如他們。

語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)1 even意為“甚至”，表示強(qiáng)調(diào)。

Even now learning English is not too late.甚至現(xiàn)在想學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)也還不晚。

It’s even colder than yesterday.今天甚至比昨天還要冷。

語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)2 less意為“少的，較小的，” little(很少的)的比較級(jí)。many, much的比較級(jí)為more.
