課文內(nèi)容：

‘The play may begin at any moment,' I said.‘It mayhave begun already,' Susan answered.‘I hurried tothe ticket-office.'May I have two tickets please ?' Iasked.‘I'm sorry, we've sold out,' the girl said.‘Whata pity!' Susan exclaimed. Just then, a man hurried tothe ticket-office.‘Can I return these two tickets?' heasked.‘Certainly,' the girl said. I went back to theticket office at once.‘Could I have those twotickets please ?' I asked.‘Certainly, 'the girl said,‘but they are for next Wednesday'sperformance.‘I might as well have them,' I said sadly.

7.I went back to the ticket office at once.

我就立刻又回到售票處。

語言點(diǎn)1 go back = return 此句可改為:I returned to the ticket office at once.

語言點(diǎn)2 at once = immediately = as soon as = directly =instantly 立刻

8.‘Could I have those two tickets please ?' I asked.

“我能買那兩張票嗎?”我問。

語言點(diǎn) could = can, 但前者多用于口語表達(dá)，比后者更為客氣，尤其是在句尾還補(bǔ)上一詞 please,就更為禮貌了。

9.‘Certainly, 'the girl said,‘but they are for next Wednesday's performance.

“當(dāng)然可以，”賣票的女孩回答，“不過這兩張票是下星期三的，您是否還要呢?”

語言點(diǎn)1 在此作介詞，意為“為了”

I went there for learning English. 我去那兒的目的就是為了學(xué)英語。

This room is only for officer. 這個(gè)房間是專為官員準(zhǔn)備的。

語言點(diǎn)2 比較學(xué)習(xí)：still, yet

still用于肯定句、疑問句，意為“依然，還”：He is still at home.他還在家里。/ Do you still learn Oiinese?你還在學(xué)漢語嗎?

yet意為“也，還”，用于否定句，常用于現(xiàn)在完成時(shí);用于疑問句，意思為“已經(jīng)”：

He hasn’t come back yet. 他還沒有回來。

—Has he done it yet? 他做完了嗎?

—Not yet= He hasn’t done it yet. 沒呢。

10.‘I might as well have them,' I said sadly.

“我還是買下的好，”我垂頭喪氣地說。

語言點(diǎn) “may / might as well +動(dòng)詞原形”表示沒有更多選擇不情愿地去做某事(尤其用于第一人稱)：Wemight as well take this train. 我們最好還是坐這趟火車。/ I might as well eat this apple.我看還是吃了這個(gè)蘋果為好。
