‘The play may begin at any moment,' I said.‘It mayhave begun already,' Susan answered.‘I hurried tothe ticket-office.'May I have two tickets please ?' Iasked.‘I'm sorry, we've sold out,' the girl said.‘Whata pity!' Susan exclaimed. Just then, a manhurried to the ticket-office.‘Can I return thesetwo tickets?' he asked.‘Certainly,' the girl said. Iwent back to the ticket office at once.‘Could I havethose two tickets please ?' I asked.‘Certainly, 'the girl said,‘but they are for next Wednesday'sperformance.‘I might as well have them,' I said sadly.

語言點 表達抱怨常用句式：

I hate…我討厭……/1 don’t like…我不喜歡/ Ican，t believe…我簡直不敢相信……對于抱怨的常用回答：

Just give it a rest!別抱怨了! / What would you like me to do? 你想要我怎么做?/ Will you drop italready ? 別再抱怨了好嗎?/ OK, we get the point.好，我們已經(jīng)知道了。

就在這時，一個男子匆匆奔向售票處。

語言點 (1) ticket office售票處，又作booking office。

(2) office常指辦事處，事務(wù)所，政府機關(guān)部委。

例如：the Foreign Office 外交部;head office 總店，總行;inquiry office 問訊處

‘Can I return these two ticketo? ’ he asked. ‘ Certainly, ’ the girl said.

“我能把這兩張票退了嗎?”他問。“當(dāng)然可以，”那女孩說。

語言點 certainly = of course= by all means= surely= undoubtedly = definitely 當(dāng)然

If you do not work hard, you will surely fail.如果不努力學(xué)習(xí)，你肯定會考試不及格。

在口語中，我們還可以用以下短語表達“確定”：

Absolutely!絕對!完全肯定!/ You can’t go wrong following me.相信我，錯不了。/ Just take myword on this one. 你只管相信我就行了 !

我們經(jīng)常用以下短語表達“不確定”：

I have my doubts about...我對 ……心存疑問。/ I’m not sure that...我不能肯定……What proof doyou have…你有什么證據(jù)……?

6.‘Can I return these two tickets?' he asked.‘Certainly,' the girl said.

我就立刻又回到售票處。

語言點1 go back = return 此句可改為:I returned to the ticket office at once.

語言點2 at once = immediately = as soon as = directly =instantly 立刻
