After I had had lunch at a village inn, I looked for mybag. I had left it on a chair beside the door and nowit wasn't there ! As I was looking for it, the inn-keeper came in. ‘Did you have a good meal ' heasked. ‘Yes, thank you,' I answered, ‘but I can'tpay the bill. I haven't got my bag.' The inn-keeper smiled and immediately went out. In afew minutes he returned with my bag and gave itback to me. ‘I'm very sorry,' he said ' My dog had taken it into the garden. He often does this.'

4.‘Did you have a good meal ' he asked.

“您吃得好嗎? ”他問我。

語(yǔ)言點(diǎn) 對(duì)于吃飯的提問，大部分采用“did + have”結(jié)構(gòu)：Did you have your supper?您吃過晚飯了嗎?

5.‘Yes, thank you,' I answered, ‘but I can't pay the bill. I haven't got my bag.'
