課文內(nèi)容：

After I had had lunch at a village inn, I looked for mybag. I had left it on a chair beside the door and nowit wasn't there ! As I was looking for it, the inn-keeper came in. ‘Did you have a good meal ' heasked. ‘Yes, thank you,' I answered, ‘but I can't paythe bill. I haven't got my bag.' The inn-keeper smiledand immediately went out. In a few minutes hereturned with my bag and gave it back to me. ‘I'm very sorry,' he said.‘ My dog had taken it into the garden. He often does this.'

一會(huì)兒工夫他帶著我的包回來(lái)了，把包還給了我。

語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)1 a few minutes不可譯為“一些時(shí)間”，而應(yīng)譯為“很短的幾分鐘”、“片刻”

語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)2 give sth. back = return sth.意思是“返還某物”

When do you give the money back to me?你何時(shí)把錢(qián)還給我?

8.‘I'm very sorry,' he said .

“真是抱歉，”他說(shuō)。

語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)(口語(yǔ)) I am so sorry. /I am really sorry.實(shí)在對(duì)不起。

(書(shū)面語(yǔ)) I apologized / apologised to sb. for sth. / doing sth.我因 ……向……道歉。

9.‘My dog had taken it into the garden. He often does this.’

“我的狗把它弄到花園里去了，他經(jīng)常干這種事!”

語(yǔ)言點(diǎn) 此外用he表示“狗”，是擬人化的表達(dá)。
