Lesson 7 Too late

課文內(nèi)容：

The plane was late and detectives were waiting atthe airport all morning. They were expecting avaluable parcel of diamond from South Africa. Afew hours earlier, someone had told the police thatthieves would try to steal the diamonds. When theplane arrived, some of the detectives werewaiting inside the main building while otherswere waiting on the airfield. Two men took theparcel off the plane and carried it into the Customs House. While two detectives werekeeping guard at the door, two others opened the parcel. To their surprise, theprecious parcel was full of stones and sand!

4、When the plane arrived, some of the detectives were waiting inside the mainbuilding while others were waiting on the airfield.

當(dāng)飛機(jī)到達(dá)時(shí)，部分偵探在主機(jī)樓里等著，其余的全在停機(jī)坪山守候著。

語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)1 比較學(xué)習(xí):when,as while

1)when既可接延續(xù)性動(dòng)詞，又可接非延續(xù)性動(dòng)詞。

When the wind blows up, all the windows rattle.只要一刮風(fēng)，所有的窗戶都吱吱地響。

2)as用法非常靈活，經(jīng)?？梢蕴鎿Qwhen。

As I came home, my mother was cooking supper.我回家時(shí)，我媽媽正在做晚飯。

3)while多接延續(xù)性動(dòng)詞。

While the manager was walking down the sreet, I followed him.當(dāng)經(jīng)理在街上走路時(shí)，我跟著他。

語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)2 others=other+名詞,這里的others相當(dāng)于other detectives,指其余的偵探。

5、Two men took the parcel off the plane and carried it into the Customs House.

兩個(gè)人把裝有鉆石的小包從飛機(jī)上取了下來(lái)，進(jìn)了海關(guān)。

語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)1 take sth. off somewhere=take sth. down from somewhere=take sth.away fromsomewhere把某物從某處拿下來(lái)

The teacher took one book down from the shelf.老師把一本書(shū)從書(shū)架上取了下來(lái)。

語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)2 carry sth. into somewhere把某物拿進(jìn)某地

6、While two detectives were keeping guard at the door, two others opened theparcel.

當(dāng)兩位偵探守住門(mén)口時(shí)，另外的兩位偵探打開(kāi)了包裹。
