[00:00.01]Unit 16 Falling over the falls 第16單元 墮落瀑布 [00:06.51]Sure lots of people had done it. The first person to do it and live was a woman in the 1800s. 這件事的確有很多人做過，第一個做這件事又活下來的人士1800年代的意味女性。 [00:14.29]Well, now it was Tammy's turn. She was going to get into a barrel and be pushed from the top of Niagara Falls! 現(xiàn)在嘛，該輪到泰咪上場了。她即將進入一個大桶子里，然后讓人從尼加拉瀑布最上面推下去! [00:23.19]People from newspapers came to take her picture. Her mother and sister were there for support. 人們從報紙上得知此一消息，紛紛前來替她拍照。她媽媽和姐姐也在那里幫忙。 [00:29.30]A few tourists watched and some took pictures. 有些游客在那里觀看，有些游客則在拍照。 [00:34.05]Tammy climbed in to the barrel and looked over the 175-foot waterfall. They put on the lid and pushed her over. 泰咪爬進桶子，看著175英尺高的瀑布。他們蓋上蓋子，然后把她推了下去。 [00:43.08]Inside the barrel Tammy knocked around like a penny in a jar. She was falling fast, and the pressure was almost too much. 泰咪在桶子里面撞來撞去，就像罐子里的一分硬幣一樣。她墜落的速度很快，而且水壓有點過大。 [00:52.31]Water was leaking in the cracks. Tammy tried to plug her ears. 水從裂縫里漏了進來，外面的水聲則是大得要命，于是泰咪試著堵住耳朵。 [01:01.47]She fell further and further, until she hit the water like a sack of rocks. 她進一步往下墜落，最后像一袋石頭一樣打中水面。 [01:07.49]The barrel sunk down into the lake at the bottom of the waterfall. 桶子在瀑布下面往湖底下沉， [01:12.14]Just when Tammy thought she was going to die, the barrel bounced out of the water and floated to shore. 就在泰咪覺得自己快活不成時，桶子彈出水面漂到了岸邊。 [01:18.52]She made it! She went over Niagara Falls and lived! 她成功了!她征服了尼加拉瀑布而活了下來!
