習(xí)語(yǔ)：a blind alley

講解: 這是一個(gè)名詞性短語(yǔ)，alley是胡同，小巷的意思。從字面上理解，是“瞎胡同”“死胡同”，引申為“前途暗淡”“行不通”之義。

Eg. When he invested in that business, he went up a blind alley.

當(dāng)他投資做那個(gè)生意時(shí)，他就走上了一條絕路。

Eg. Bob did not take the job because it was a blind alley.

鮑勃沒(méi)有接受此職，因?yàn)樗鼪](méi)有發(fā)展前途。
