Good morning! Welcome to the mysterious and beautiful Splendid China and China Folk Culture Village. First, please allow me to briefly introduce Splendid China.

Splendid China is a tourist area in Shenzhen's Chinese Overseas Town and is located at the scenic Shenzhen bay. Splendid China is the biggest and richest live-micro scenery tourist site in the world today. It takes up an area of 300, 000 square meters.

The scenic spots of “Splendid China” are organized according to their geographical position in China. The entire garden looks like a giant map of China. These spots may be divided into three main groups: ancient architecture, folk customs, and landscapes. Over 50,000 little ceramic men are placed in the various scenic spots.

Over here are miniature displays of two of the world's eight wonders, the Great Wall of China and the Qin Mausoleum's soldiers and horses. Other unique and first of their kind places in China exhibited in miniature include the world's oldest stone arch bridge (Zhaozhou Bridge)， the astrono-mical observatory (the ancient observatory)， the wooden tower (Yingxian Wooden Tower)， the world's biggest palace ( the Forbidden City)。 Visitors can also see miniatures of the world's largest stone Buddha statue, the Leshan Giant Buddha, the biggest royal garden, Yuanmingyuan, the longest grotto galley, Dunhuang's Mogao Grottoes, the highest and grandest palace, the Potala Palace, the most unique landscape, Guangxi's stone forest, the most exquisitely beautiful mountain peak, Anhui's Mt. Huang, and one of the biggest waterfalls, the Yellow River's Huangguoshu Waterfall. There are solemn and serene Chinese imperial mausoleums, including those of Genghis khan and the Ming Tombs, as well as Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum. Other famous sites on display include the magnificent Confucian Temple and Temple of Heaven, majestic Mount Tai, the deep and rugged Yangtze Gorges, and the picturesque scenery around Yunnan's Lijiang Village. Finally, one can also view West Lake Hangzhou and Suzhou's gardens and other sights in Southern China.

In addition to all of this, visitors can also view the ceremonies presided over by Ancient Chinese Emperors to worship heaven, their weddings, and a Confucian memorial ceremony. In the hall of chimes, you can also enjoy hearing these ancient instruments played by people wearing authentic period costumes. You'll also be able to take in 5,000 years of Chinese history in one day, as well as appreciate Northern and Southern China's beautiful scenery.

“Splendid China” touring route is thoughtfully designed with respect to both its green gardens and business, conservancy, and sanitation settings and facilities. Miniature displays of art treasures are everywhere as you walk along the garden track with green trees and flowers. In addition, you can appreciate the folk dance performed on the small stage in the garden. And while strolling through the white- and grey-tiled Suzhou Street, you can taste different local snacks and buy the arts and crafts made by local artists and other local products.

The integrated service area, which is located on Suzhou Street, incorporates the best features of Suzhou's architecture and landscape art while retaining the feel of a traditional Chinese business neighborhood. Pedestrians can enjoy several different regional Chinese cooking styles, including Beijing, Sichuan, Suzhou, and Guangdong cuisine. They will also be able to observe folk handcrafted products being made. Visitors can not only buy handicrafts, antiques, but other famous local products as well, including well-known and highly effective herbal medicines.

In the course of a just single day's visit to Splendid China, tourists can step into history. Splendid China provides a fascinating window into Chinese history. Since it opened some 30 million Chinese and Western visitors have come to see Splendid China. These guests include Deng

Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin, the elder former US President Bush, Henry Kissinger, Fidel Castro, and many other famous statesmen.

Splendid China turns out to be not only a window onto Chinese history, culture and tourism, but is also a world of greenery, flowers and beauty.

Then we come to the Chinese Folk Culture Village, which is separated by a wall from and stands beside Splendid China. The China Folk Culture Village covers an area of more than 200,000 square meters. It is China's first large-scale cultural tourist attraction consisting of different folk art, customs, and architecture, including 25 villages of 22 ethnic nationalities built according to a l: 1 proportion. The Chinese Folk Culture Village takes as its building motto, “from every day life, higher than every day life; gather the quintessence with careful selection”。 This reflects China9s varied and colorful folk culture from several different perspectives.

The Village will hold different large-scale folk community festivals every month, such as the Torch Festival, Water-Sprinkling Festival, and the like. In this Grand View Garden with folk houses, the ship-shaped house of Li ethnic group and the railed building of Wa ethnic group form a delightful contrast and mirror ancient architectural styles. The elaborately carved Bai “three rooms with one screen wall” and the Han, “quadrangle” showcase two different kinds of traditional Chinese residential architectural designs. Moreover, along with these residential areas are flaky Hainan coconuts, towering Xishuangbanna old banyan trees, and peacocks spreading their tails and elephants rambling about. The Village can be toured by car, boat, or on foot.

Aside from appreciating the different architectural styles, we also can enjoy and participate performances from all ethnic groups along with their arts and crafts. Visitors can sample ethnic food, watch an ethnic art parade, enjoy various professional parties, visit the folk exhibition hall, and enjoy their favorite folk programs. All of this enables visitors to appreciate the 56 colorful kinds of ethnic culture and art on display at the Folk Village.

The Folk Culture Village has more than 10 workshops and over 20 folk handicrafts and performances, including ones dealing with making snack food, Uygur hand embroidery, the Miao wax printing, and the Dai cooked rice in a bamboo tube. When night falls, the wonderful folk dancing-singing parade starts. The bold drum band, cherry dragon team, humorous folk“shehuo”， and elegant folk fashion team slowly march through the Village's streets. The five-colored water column spouting out from the folk fountain combined with the music and the light beams over the night sky, provides a joyful climax to the Folk Village's splendid poem about Chinese ethnic life.

In addition to watching different folk performances in the various folk villages, visitors can enjoy larger scale theatrical shows. These include the Golden Spear Dynasty, Oriental Costume, Chinese Dragon and Phoenix Dance, and the like.

The Golden Spear Dynasty is a special drama based on actual historical events. The true story behind the drama occurred more than 400 years ago, when the Qing Dynasty Nurhachi ( Nurhaci) defeated a much larger Ming Army-Nurhachi had just 40,000 troops, while the Ming army had 200,000. We can not only witness this savage battle, but also enjoy exciting horse-riding performances. Nurhachi is the Qing (China's last feudal dynasty) emperor's ancestor. His eighth son, Huang Taiji destroyed the Ming Dynasty and established Qing Dynasty. Manchu is the royal family of the Qing Dynasty which originally ruled over and was based on the Manchu people, a national minority living in northeast of China. The Qing Dynasty ruled China for nearly 300 years.

An oriental costume event will take place at 17:00 p.m. in the central exhibition hall. Here we can enjoy beautiful Chinese folk dances and the bright colorful costumes.

Big Chinese dragon and phoenix dances take place at the Phoenix Plaza every night. Nearly 500 folk performers dance on the same stage. They showcase China's ethnic folk dance, music, acrobatics, magic, and the like. This show reflects China's colorful and splendid ethnic culture that goes with its 5 ,000 -year history.

這里有名列世界八大奇跡的萬里長城、秦陵兵馬俑;有最古老的石拱橋(趙州橋)、天文臺(古觀星臺)、木塔(應(yīng)縣木塔);有最大的宮殿(故宮)、最大的佛像(樂山大佛)、最大的皇家園林(圓明園)、最長的石窟畫廊(敦煌莫高窟)、海拔最高的建筑(布達拉官)、最奇景觀(石林)、最奇山峰(黃山)、最大瀑布之一(黃果樹瀑布);有肅穆莊嚴的黃帝陵、成吉思汗陵、明十三陵、中山陵;有金碧輝煌的孔廟、天壇;有雄偉壯觀的泰山、險峻挺拔的長江三峽，如詩似畫的漓江山水;有杭州西湖、蘇州園林等江南勝景。

此外，皇帝祭天、皇帝大婚、孔廟祭典的場面與民間的婚喪嫁娶鳳俗盡呈眼前。在編鐘館，你還能欣賞到古裝樂隊為您演奏千古絕唱。您可以在一天內(nèi)領(lǐng)略中華五千年歷史風(fēng)云，暢游大江南北的錦繡河山。

錦繡中華在游覽路線的設(shè)計、園林的綠化、商業(yè)區(qū)的設(shè)置以及衛(wèi)生管理各方面都做了精心的安排。漫步在綠樹掩映、花團錦簇的園林小徑中，可以欣賞微縮景點;還可以在園中的小舞臺旁欣賞傳統(tǒng)的民間舞蹈;在那白墻青瓦的蘇州街上，還可以品嘗各地風(fēng)味小吃，購買富有特色的工藝和土特產(chǎn)。

綜合服務(wù)區(qū)(蘇州街)吸取蘇州建筑及園林藝術(shù)的精華，并保留中國傳統(tǒng)商業(yè)街坊之特色。在這里，有京川蘇粵幾大菜系及各地風(fēng)味小吃，有民間手工藝之作表演，更有琳瑯滿目的手工藝品、古董、滋補藥品、名優(yōu)特產(chǎn)以及富有錦繡中華特色的旅游紀念品可供選購。

“一步邁進歷史，一天游遍中華”，錦繡中華是中華歷史文化、旅游文化之窗。開業(yè)至今，已接待游客三千多萬人次，其中包括鄧小平、江澤民，美國前總統(tǒng)布什、前國務(wù)卿基辛格，古巴總統(tǒng)卡斯特羅等首腦政要。

錦繡中華不愧是綠的世界、花的世界、美的世界;更是中國的歷史之窗、文化之窗、旅游之窗。

接著我們來到了與錦繡中華有著一墻之隔的中國民俗文化村。中國民俗文化村占地20多萬平方米，是中國第一個薈萃各民族間藝術(shù)、民俗風(fēng)情和民居建筑于一園的大型文化旅游景區(qū)，內(nèi)含22個民族和25個村寨，按1:1比例建成。中國民俗文化村以“源于生活，高于生活，匯集精華，有所取舍”作為建村的指導(dǎo)原則，從不同的角度，多側(cè)面的反應(yīng)了中國豐富多彩的民俗文化。

在這個民居薈萃的大觀園中，黎族的船形屋和佤族的桿欄式草樓相映成趣，再現(xiàn)了人類古老的建筑文化;白族雕刻精美的“三房一照壁”和漢族的“四合院”，則表現(xiàn)了高水準的中國傳統(tǒng)民居建筑設(shè)計工藝。而伴隨著這些民居的，則是成片的海南椰林、參天的西雙版納古榕、開屏的孔雀和漫步的大象。我們在“村”中可以乘車，步行，也可以乘船

漫游。

在這里，除可了解各民族的建筑風(fēng)格外，還可以欣賞和參與各民族的歌舞表演、民族工藝品鋇作品嘗民族風(fēng)味食品，觀賞民族藝術(shù)大游行、專業(yè)水平的演出歌舞晚會、民俗陳列館、民間喜愛節(jié)目等各種場景。民俗村內(nèi)有十多個手工作坊，有20多項民間手工藝和民間小吃制作表演，如維族手繡、苗族蠟染、傣族竹筒飯等。每當(dāng)夜幕降臨，氣勢恢弘的民族歌舞藝術(shù)大游行開始，豪放的鼓樂隊?？鞓返凝垷絷?、詼諧的民間社火、端莊典雅的民族時裝隊，在民俗村內(nèi)緩緩前行;民俗村內(nèi)的民族音樂噴泉隨著音樂噴出五色水柱，景區(qū)夜空的游光束，會把我們帶進歡樂的高潮，帶進中華民族生活的美妙詩篇之中。

到民俗村參觀除了在各民俗村寨觀看各民族演員表演的小節(jié)目之外，還可以欣賞到一些大型的文藝演出。例如，金戈王朝、東方霓裳及龍鳳舞中華等。

金戈王朝是一場別開生面的歷史實景劇，表現(xiàn)的是400多年前清太祖努爾哈赤用四萬兵力打敗明朝20萬大軍的歷史故事。大家不但可以目睹當(dāng)年驚心動魄的戰(zhàn)爭情景，還可以觀賞到他們精彩的馬術(shù)表演。努爾哈赤是清朝(中國最后一個封建王朝)皇帝的先祖，他的第8個兒子皇太極消滅了明王朝，建立了清王朝。清朝的皇族是滿族人，其祖先生活在我國東北地區(qū)的少數(shù)民族;滿族人建立的清王朝統(tǒng)治中國近300年。

東方霓裳于下午五點在中心劇場演出，我們可觀賞到中國各民族優(yōu)美多姿的舞蹈和絢麗多彩的民族服飾。

龍鳳舞中華是每天晚上在鳳凰廣場的一場大型文藝演出。近500民族演員同臺獻藝，向我們表演我國各民族的民間舞蹈、音樂、雜技、魔術(shù)等，展示出中華民族五千多年歷史的燦爛無比的民族文化。
