Arrest seemed but a rosy dream. The Island seemed very far away.

5.seem+介詞短語

They seemed in high spirits.
他們看起來興高采烈的。

二、 It seems/seemed +that從句

It seems that he is lying.
看來他在撒謊。

It seemed that no one knew what happened.
看來沒有人知道發(fā)生了什么事。

三、seem+like+n./ V-ing，意思是"看起來像……"

It seems like years since I last saw you.
自從我上次見到你以后，好像是過了好幾年。

Those cards seemed like so many little flags dotted about the schoolroom.
