Apple on Monday unveiled a new 13-inch MacBook Pro, officially discontinuing its last remaining model with the much-hated “butterfly” keyboard.

蘋果周一發(fā)布了一款新的13英寸MacBookPro，正式停止了其最后一款“蝴蝶”鍵盤。

The new Pro, which starts at $1,299, features a keyboard modeled after the company’s popular Magic Keyboard that’s based on an older, scissor-like mechanism.

這款新的Pro售價(jià)1299美元，其鍵盤采用了該公司流行的Magic Keyboard鍵盤，這種鍵盤是基于一種老式的、類似剪刀的機(jī)械裝置。

Apple four months ago released a 16-inch MacBook Pro model with its new keyboard design that ditched the “butterfly” design, which Apple had introduced to enable ever-thinner laptops, but which proved faulty.

In addition to keys that are prone to sticking and breaking when crumbs or dust gets under them, users griped that the butterfly keys were prone to typos and felt weird to type on.

The unreliable keys forced Apple to introduce a free keyboard repair program in 2018.

The updated MacBook version will provide double the storage of its predecessor, with a capacity of up to 1 terabyte.

更新后的MacBook版本將提供兩倍于先前版本的存儲空間，容量高達(dá)1TB。

The company also said the new MacBook Pro will be available in select stores later this week. Apple stores around the world remain closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, but recently began to reopen some stores in South Korea.

Shares of Apple were up 0.3 percent Monday afternoon, at $290.02.
