The Yellow River is the second longest river in China and one of the world's famous rivers. It flows through nine provinces and regions in northern China. Viewed from a high altitude, it looks very much like a giant "J" character, and vaguely resembles the unique totem of our nation - the dragon. Because the middle section of the river flows through the Loess Plateau in China, it carries a large amount of sediment, so it is also considered to be the river with the highest sediment concentration in the world. In Chinese history, the Yellow River has had a significant impact on human civilization and is one of the most important places where the Chinese nation originated. Therefore, the Chinese call it the "Mother River".
