李白和杜甫被認(rèn)為是唐朝最偉大的詩(shī)人。他們?cè)谥袊?guó)文學(xué)史上的重要性可以和莎士比亞在英國(guó)的相提并論。李白和杜甫有很多共同點(diǎn)。兩個(gè)人都曾經(jīng)在朝廷任職，都在四川居住過(guò)，都曾經(jīng)旅行。據(jù)說(shuō)他們兩個(gè)都寫了1000多首詩(shī)，但是人們并不確定有多少署名李白的詩(shī)是他寫的。他們都被認(rèn)為是中國(guó)最好的詩(shī)人，寫的都是像愛(ài)情、戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)、死亡、他們見(jiàn)過(guò)的自然風(fēng)光這些日常話題。他們的詩(shī)歌很受歡迎，部分原因是人們喜歡讀關(guān)于古代地方的東西。

Li Bai together with Du Fu is considered the greatest of the Tang dynasty poets. They are as important in Chinese literary history as Shakespeare is to people in Britain. Li Bai and Du Fu have a lot in common. Both worked as imperial court officials, both lived in Sichuan, and both traveled. Both are said to have written more than a thousand poems, but people are not sure about how many of the poems ascribed to Li Bai were written by him. They are considered China's best poets, and wrote about everyday topics like romance, war, death, natural beauty they saw. Their poems are so popular partly because Chinese people like to read about ancient places.
