北京中醫(yī)藥大學(xué)創(chuàng)建于1956年，是中華人民共和國最早成立的高等中醫(yī)院校之一，是唯一所進人國家“211工程”建設(shè)的高等中醫(yī)藥院校,2000年7月31日，北京中醫(yī)藥大學(xué)成為直屬國家教育部管理的重點大學(xué)。

Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 1956 the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine is one of the earliest established traditional Chinese medical institutions of higher learning in the People's Republic of China. It is the only traditional Chinese medical higher learning institution that has a place in the“Project 211”for national development. On July 31 st，2000，the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine became a priority university directly under the supervision of the Ministry of Education.

學(xué)校現(xiàn)設(shè)有基礎(chǔ)醫(yī)學(xué)院、中藥學(xué)院、針灸學(xué)院、管理學(xué)院、護理學(xué)院、國際學(xué)院 遠程教育學(xué)院、繼續(xù)教育學(xué)院、臨床醫(yī)學(xué)院、文法系、臺港澳中醫(yī)學(xué)部等教學(xué)機構(gòu)。

學(xué)校致力于構(gòu)建面向新世紀的以高層次教育為主體的人才培養(yǎng)體系目前設(shè)有中醫(yī)學(xué)、中藥學(xué)、制藥工程、針灸推拿學(xué)、公共事業(yè)管理(衛(wèi)生事業(yè)管理)、工商管理(中藥企業(yè)管理)、護理學(xué)、英語(醫(yī)學(xué)),法學(xué)(醫(yī)藥衛(wèi)生)9個專業(yè)。其中中醫(yī)學(xué)七年制含科科研方向、針推對外交流方向、中西醫(yī)結(jié)合方向等9個培養(yǎng)方向班分別與南開大學(xué)、清華大學(xué)、北京,師范大學(xué)和中日友好醫(yī)院等單位聯(lián)合培養(yǎng)

The university is striving to build a professional training system，emphasizing on high-level education ready for the'new century. There are 9 majors in the university，namely，Chinese Medicine，Chinese Materia Medica，Pharmaceutical Engineering Acupuncture Moxibustion&Tuina，Public Industry Management(Health Industry Management)，Business Administration(Chinese Herba) Medicine Business Management)，Traditional Chinese Nursing，Medical English and Law(related to medicine)，among which the 7-year program of the Chinese Medicine major，includes 9 training classes geared towards different directions such as traditional Chinese clinical medicine clinical research，integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine，acupuncture and tuina oriented towards international exchange，etc. These majors for different purposes are jointly trained with institutions such as the Nankai University，Tsinghua University，University of International Business and Economics，Beijing Normal University，and Sino-Japan Friendship Haspital.

截止2003年9月，學(xué)校各類在校生達到16160名，其中本?？粕?950名，碩士研究生688名 博士研究生356名，來自41個國家和地區(qū)的留學(xué)生758名，臺港澳學(xué)生416名，遠程教育學(xué)員4897名，繼續(xù)教育學(xué)員3095名。該校有高級職稱專職教師崗位600個，其中博一士生導(dǎo)師122人，長江學(xué)者獎勵計劃特聘教授人人事一部“百千萬人才上程”人，國家有突出貢獻的中青年專家8人，享受政府特殊津貼100人。

Up to September 2003，there are a total of 16160 students on the campus，among which 5950 are undergraduates and vocational training students，688 master's degree candidates，356 doctorate degree candidates，758 foreign students from 41 countries and regions，416 students from Taiwan，Hong Kong，and Macao，4897 distance education students and 3095continuing education students.The university faculty consists of 600 high-rank professionai posts，among which 122 are Ph .D. instructors，one specialty invited professor of“scholars Cheungkong Scholars Program”，3 included in the“Hundreds Thousands and Ten-Thousands Personnel Project" of the Ministry of Personnel 8 state-grade young experts with outstanding contributions，and 100 experts benefiting from the government's special subsidy.

學(xué)校是全國中醫(yī)藥院校中首批建立博士學(xué)科點和博士后科研流動站的單位之一，中醫(yī)學(xué)、中藥學(xué)、中西醫(yī)結(jié)合醫(yī)學(xué)3個一級學(xué)科均具有博士學(xué)位授予權(quán)，并均設(shè)有博士后科研工作流動站。學(xué)校現(xiàn)有6個國家級重點學(xué)科，10個部局級重點學(xué)科，3個北京市重點學(xué)科，重點學(xué)科建設(shè)在全國中醫(yī)藥院校中保持領(lǐng)先地位。學(xué)校現(xiàn)有教育部重點實驗室一個，北京市重點實驗室2個，是國家醫(yī)藥管理局重點研究室2個。

The university is among the first batch of traditional Chinese medical institutions to establish the Ph.D. program and the post-doctoral research stations. The 3 first-grade subjects，namely Chinese Medicine，Chinese Materia Medica，and Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine，have the right to grant doctorate degree，so do all the second-grade subjects for master's degree. The university now has 6 state-level subjects，10 ministry-and bureau-level subjects，3 Beijing munici pality-level subjects，with 3 post-doctorate stations in Chinese Medicine. The key subjects of our university are in the leading position among the country's traditional Chinese medical institutions.The university has one key laboratory of the level of the Ministry of Education 2 key laboratories of Beijing municipality level，and 2 key research centers of the level of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

學(xué)校是國家理科人才培養(yǎng)基地、國家生命科學(xué)與技術(shù)人才培養(yǎng)基地，建設(shè)有“教育部中藥制藥與新藥開發(fā)關(guān)鍵技術(shù)工程研究中心、“教育部高等學(xué)校中醫(yī)藥現(xiàn)代化網(wǎng)上合作研究中心”，并與北京師范大學(xué)共建“國家大學(xué)科技園”。

The university is a base for cultivating our country's science and life science professionals. We also have"the Research Center for Key Technology of Chinese Pharmaceuticals and Drug Innovation by the Ministry of Education”，“the Research Cenfier for Web Cooperation in Traditional Chinese Medicine Modernization of the Tertiary Education Institutions"and“the National University of Science&Technology built through jvini efforts the university and the Beijing Normal university”.

北京中醫(yī)藥大學(xué)圖書館已形成了一個以中醫(yī)藥文獻為主、西醫(yī)文獻為輔、兼容其它學(xué)科的藏書體系?，F(xiàn)有館藏書刊55萬冊，其中館藏中醫(yī)藥圖書1. 2萬余種，計18萬余冊;中醫(yī)線裝書1800余種，共28000冊;其中含珍本善本100多種及少量孤本，主要以明清兩代刻本為主，許多是醫(yī)學(xué)經(jīng)典藏書。建校48年來，學(xué)校為國家培養(yǎng)各級各類中醫(yī)藥專門人才2萬余名，為世界87個國家和地區(qū)培養(yǎng)各類中醫(yī)藥人才2342名:近幾年來，學(xué)校先后與19個國家和港、澳、臺地區(qū)建立了40個合作項目，與12個國家和地區(qū)的大學(xué)及學(xué)術(shù)團體合作 開辦了教學(xué)分院和醫(yī)療機構(gòu)。

The University Library has already become a system in which literature of Chinese medicine，Western medicine and other branches of sciences is stored. It has a collection of half million books，among which more than 1.2 thousand kinds are traditional Chinese medical books，totaling to 180 thousand volumes. There are more than 1800 kinds of traditional Chinese medical thread一bound books total to 28000 volumes，which include rare editions and classical editions up to kinds，mainly block-printed editions of the Ming and Qing dynasties.In fihe 48 years since the founding of the university it has trained more 20000 traditional Chinese medical professionals of different levels and 2342 students from 87 countries and regions of the world. In recent years，the university has eventually established 40 cooperative projects wish 22 countries and regions. it has cooperated with universities and academic groups of 12 countries and regions in running branch schools and clinics.

學(xué)校主辦有國家一級學(xué)術(shù)期刊《北京中醫(yī)藥大學(xué)學(xué)報》、《北京中醫(yī)藥大學(xué)學(xué)報(中醫(yī)臨床版)》和《中醫(yī)教育》雜志，是中醫(yī)藥學(xué)術(shù)交流的重要園地。

The university publishes state-level，class academic periodicals entitles Journal of the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine"，“Journal of the Beijing Universify of Chinese Medicine(Clinical Edition)”and“Traditional Chinese Medicine Education” .They are important windows for traditional Chinese medical academic exchange.

歷史變遷 Giorious History

1956年北京中醫(yī)藥大學(xué)創(chuàng)建。

1956 The Beijing University of Chinese Medicine was founded.

2000年原北京中醫(yī)藥大學(xué)與原北京針灸骨傷學(xué)院合并組成新的北京中醫(yī)藥大學(xué)。

2000 The former Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and the former Beijirr College of Acupuncture，Orthopedics and Traumatology merged into the new Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.
