A: Linda. what do you fancy to drink? A beer or a glass of wine?

琳達(dá)，你想喝點(diǎn)什么？啤酒還是葡萄灑？

B: To be honest, I'm sick of both.  I want to try something different.

說(shuō)實(shí)話，這兩種酒我都喝夠。我想換換口味

A:This bar is famous for its vodka, you know. They've got many different flavours, even chocolate, which should be suitable for a chocoholic like you.

這個(gè)酒吧以賣(mài)伏特加酒出名。這種酒有很多不同的口味，甚至還有巧克力味的。你那么喜歡吃巧克力，這個(gè)應(yīng)該適合你。

B: I'm not sure if I like the casce of vodka, and it's very strong too. It's from Russia, isn't it?

我不敢說(shuō)是否喜歡伏特加酒的味道，它畢竟也是一種烈性灑。這酒是俄羅斯產(chǎn)的，對(duì)不對(duì)？

A: Yes. but they make it in other countries roo. such as Finland and Sweden.

對(duì)，不過(guò)其他國(guó)家也生產(chǎn)，如芬蘭和瑞典。

B: It says here that they sell Russian, flavoured vodka. Oh, they make it from gain. I thought they made it from potatoes!

據(jù)說(shuō)他們賣(mài)給俄羅斯人那種加香味的伏特加酒，哦，還有，他們是用糧食加工酒的。我過(guò)去以為是用土豆加工而成的。

A: I think in the past they made it from lots of different things. Look here, there's a pamphlet with a brief history.

我想在過(guò)去它們足用很多小同的原料加工的。看，這兒有一本小冊(cè)子里面有簡(jiǎn)史介紹。

B: " As early as the beginning of the 16th cenmry buming wine was brought not to Russia, but from it. It was the first experience of the Russian expore of vodka that later would take over the whole world".

“早在16世紀(jì)初，“燒酒”還沒(méi)有被引進(jìn)俄羅斯，但伏特加酒就已經(jīng)出口了。這是俄羅斯第一次出口伏特加灑，后來(lái)就傳到世界各地。”

A: Yes. you can buy it everywhere now!

是這樣，現(xiàn)在哪兒都能買(mǎi)到伏特加酒。

B: It also says here that they distiIJ it four times. That seems like a lot.  And even in the 1700s they were making many weird and wonderful flavours. Every landowner had his own special one.

小冊(cè)子上還說(shuō)這些酒要經(jīng)過(guò)4次蒸餾。似乎次數(shù)不少。18世紀(jì)他們甚至還生產(chǎn)了很多味道怪異奇妙的伏特加灑。每個(gè)貴族地主都有自己獨(dú)特的伏特加酒。

A: What's this flavour? Bird cherry and sage? I don't think you can buy that one nowadays. I wonder which rich landowner decided on that flavour.

這個(gè)是什么昧的？稠李和鼠尾草？我想現(xiàn)在你買(mǎi)不著這一種了。我不知道這種味道的伏特加酒是哪個(gè)富有的貴族地主生產(chǎn)的。

B: Look at this, before 1885 vodka was sold onjy in buckets measuring  12.3 litres. Who could drink that much vodka?

看這里，1885年以前，伏特加灑只按桶賣(mài)，每桶裝12.3升。誰(shuí)能喝那么多伏特加酒？

A: Don't worry, here we can just buy it in a shot, a single measure of about 25 millilitres.

別擔(dān)心，在這里我們可以只買(mǎi)一杯，只有25毫升。

B: That sounds better. In 1953 the Moscow Special was awarded a gold medal at an intemational exhibition in Switzerland. That's the one they have here, now we call it Stolichnaya.

這樣聽(tīng)起來(lái)還不錯(cuò)。1953年在瑞士國(guó)際展覽會(huì)上，這一莫斯科特產(chǎn)獲得了金獎(jiǎng)。這是他們?cè)谀谴握褂[會(huì)獲得的唯一獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)，現(xiàn)在我們叫它紅牌伏特加。

A: So. Linda which flavour are you going to try? They've got various fruits, like strawberry, peach, pear . .. and this one .

琳達(dá)，你想嘗哪種味道？有各種水果味的，像草莓、桃子、梨……這個(gè)是……

B: Chili flavour!? That sounds a bit hot for me! I think I'll start with the chocolate after all, then I might try another one.

辣椒味?。繉?duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)，這個(gè)好像有點(diǎn)太辣了！我想我還是喝巧克力味的吧．然后我再試試其他味道的。
