謝耳朵訪談：我已成記難詞專業(yè)戶
Q:Memorizing all the science jargon Sheldon says on "The Big Bang Theory" can't be easy, and now you have all this biblical talk to learn, too. Does it become overwhelming?
問：要記住謝爾頓在《生活大爆炸》中的科學(xué)術(shù)語不是一件易事，現(xiàn)在你也有一堆圣經(jīng)術(shù)語要背。有沒有覺得被壓垮了?
A：It’s a funny thing. I have a couple more episodes to shoot and then in the past month two months I’ve been doing all this press for the animated movie “Home.” Every moment I have a chance to drink coffee in the morning or a moment to read, I’m like, “You should probably run some lines. You should run, you know, the ninth commandment or whatever.”
答：這事很有意思。我還有幾集《生活大爆炸》的拍攝沒有完成。而在過去的兩個月里，我一直在為動畫片《瘋狂外星人》做宣傳。每次早上的時候我一有時間喝咖啡或者讀書的時候，我就在想，“我該背臺詞的。我該去背，你知道的，第九誡(基督教十誡中的第九誡)或是別的啥的。”
So these weird quotes and these weird phrasings just run through my head -- “thou art” and “thou shalt” and things like that. It’s a weird place where one might need therapy afterwards. It can be tough to deal with the Sheldon stuff, some more than others. I will say the blessing of the television show is that you only have to know it once and you can take a few takes to do it.
因此哪些奇怪的話，奇怪的句子就不停的在我腦袋里打轉(zhuǎn)——比如“thou art”(古英語=you are)或者“thou shalt(汝等可，古英語)”等等這樣的術(shù)語。這些神奇的臺詞真是醉了，演完后你可能都需要“治療一下”啥的。扮演謝爾頓這個角色是困難的，比其他的角色都難。值得慶幸的是，電視劇的話你只需要知道一遍，而且可以多拍幾次。
Q：You can probably get by without fully understanding everything Sheldon is saying, but is reading the Bible part of your God preparations?
問：你可能無需弄明白謝爾頓說的每一句話，但是閱讀《圣經(jīng)》包含在你飾演上帝的前期準(zhǔn)備里嗎?
A：Well, with the Sheldon stuff -- the science stuff -- the strongest part of my research would be just learning to pronounce things, and secondarily I do always make a passing effort at trying to figure out what the hell this might represent.
答：嗯……對于謝爾頓的臺詞——那些科學(xué)術(shù)語，我鉆研的主要部分在于模仿這些它們的發(fā)音。同時，我也會想盡一切辦法搞懂這些TM都代表啥意思。
But there are times that it is literally gibberish to me and I just hope I’m putting my inflection in a place that makes it sound sort of like I know what I’m talking about.
但還是有些時候，我很快地說出這些術(shù)語時，我只希望自己能盡可能的模仿的像一些，好讓人聽起來覺得我確實(shí)知道自己在說什么。
The God stuff is actually a lot easier to understand. Party because I took a lot more God, if you will, than I took science in my lifetime because I was raised going to church every Sunday.
關(guān)于上帝的臺詞實(shí)際上更加易懂一些。一部分可能是因?yàn)?，與科學(xué)相比我更了解關(guān)于上帝的東西，從小開始，我每周日都會去教堂。
So we don’t touch on anything in this play that is unfamiliar to me. In fact, I think it’s been more about touching on things where I go, Old stories from the Bible come up，“My, I haven’t thought about that in a long time.”
所以說在《上帝的行為》這個劇里，我們不提及任何我不熟悉的東西。事實(shí)上，更多是提及那些我經(jīng)歷過的事情，對于《圣經(jīng)》中那些古老的故事，“天哪我很久沒有想過了”。
The biggest thing I’ve done so far is make sure I have really strict in my head the precise definitions of “omnipotent,” “omniscient” and “omnipresent” because they come up several times and every once in a while, when I’m running through all these lines, I’m like, “Wait wait wait, which one of the O’s is this?”
到目前為止我完成的最大成就，就是我很確定自己已經(jīng)清晰地知道“無所不能的”、“無所不知的”、“無所不在的”的準(zhǔn)確定義了。因?yàn)槲以诒撑_詞的時候，它們出現(xiàn)過幾次，時而過這些臺詞我都會想：“等等，等等，到底是哪個O開頭的詞是，我好像有點(diǎn)搞混了。”
And it helps to remember exactly what each of those is. I mean, I know what they are, but every once in a while you’re like, “Shit, is it 'omnipresent' or 'omniscient' right now? Hmm.” Context is everything.
不過，混淆同時也能讓我更好的區(qū)分到底哪個是哪個。我是說，我知道他們的意思，但每次讀到的時候，你會想，“該死，現(xiàn)在到底是‘無所不在的’還是‘無所不能的’啊”。現(xiàn)在臺詞就是我的一切。
