《臨江仙·滾滾長江東逝水》是明代文學(xué)家楊慎所作《廿一史彈詞》第三段《說秦漢》的開場詞，后毛宗崗父子評刻《三國演義》時將其放在卷首。老版電視劇《三國演義》將其作為主題歌歌詞。

滾滾長江東逝水，浪花淘盡英雄。是非成敗轉(zhuǎn)頭空。青山依舊在，幾度夕陽紅。
白發(fā)漁樵江渚上，慣看秋月春風(fēng)。一壺濁酒喜相逢。古今多少事，都付笑談中。

Success or failure, right or wrong –
They do not seem to matter so much
Once your back is turned.
But the green mountains will be there still,

They've seen so much of the spring breeze and autumn moon.
A jug of cheap wine to drink to our happy meeting:
So many momentous events, past and present,
Are bandied about with a laughter!
