Cold and heat alternate constantly.

The moon waxes, the moon wanes, then again the new moon returns.

Age urges people on.

What you see is the thousand-year-old moon before the hall,

Eternally there, eternally present.

What you don’t see are hundred-year-old people in the chamber:

They have all turned to dust.
