鐃吹喧京口，

赭圻將赤岸，

日落江湖白，
潮來天地青。
明珠歸合浦，

Seeing Commissioner Xing Ji Off to Guizhou

O'er Jingkou's port crescendo melodies ring
For you who'll ride through waves to Dongting Lake
Via Zheqi to Guizhou where all beauties cling,
While oar and boat in a mirthful dance partake.
How golden sunset makes the waters shine,
And tidal rises turn the world to a blue!
When shining wealth the commons' purses line,
They'll see their lord is to his mission true.
