24. Creep

Creep一字通常是罵男人為“令人厭惡的人”，指男人之異于常態(tài)者、有怪癖者，如偷女人內(nèi)衣者、偷看女性淋浴者、戀童癖者等。當形容詞時加-y，表示對人對事所產(chǎn)生的悚然之感；可當動詞，如 Creep me out(令我毛骨悚然)，與動詞give合作造句，如 give someone the creeps(令人害怕)，除指人外，通常用以形容恐怖電影和小說、深夜無人的空房和墓地、駭人聽聞的殺人案情等。Creep雖是罵人，語氣并不粗俗，在正式社交場所使用無妨。

注：

1. broke up with… 與……決裂，尤指情侶。

2. Phoebe Smith Buls 布爾絲，著名女藝術(shù)家。

3. have them mounted on the wall 在have+賓語，后面的賓語補足語，可用主動的動詞原形，也可用被動的過去分詞，全視需要(主動抑被動)。本句為過去分詞的mounted“把照片掛在墻上”。
