中文里有句俗語(yǔ)叫做“過(guò)去的就讓它過(guò)去吧”,意思是讓人別老記在心上,英文里的表達(dá)也極其相似,通常用來(lái)表示諒解。
例:I know we've had our fights over the years, but I think it's time we let bygones be bygones.
我知道咱們過(guò)去幾年沒(méi)少吵過(guò),可我覺得是時(shí)候該放下,讓一切都過(guò)去了。
2. Don't give it a second thought
Second thought可以表示“重新考慮”、“改變主意”,不過(guò)有些事情再怎么想也無(wú)濟(jì)于事,所以干脆扔掉包袱,輕松前行吧~

3. It's no use crying over spilled milk
中文里說(shuō)“覆水難收”,英文也有句話叫做“打翻了牛奶,哭也沒(méi)用”,表示事已至此,傷心也沒(méi)用。
例:It's no use crying over spilled milk - he's spent all the money, and there's nothing you can do about it.
事已至此,別太難過(guò)了——他花光了所有錢,可你也沒(méi)轍啊。
4. Better luck next time
碰上小伙伴遭遇挫折或者失利,最好的翻篇方式是幫TA忘記不愉快,看向希望和遠(yuǎn)方。這句話口語(yǔ)中常用在別人失敗時(shí)送上鼓勵(lì)。
例:I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get the job. Better luck next time.
