摩拜單車將向中國用戶退還全部押金

Mobike, one of the world's biggest smart bike-sharing companies, said it would refund all its Chinese users' deposits -- Rmb 1 billion ($150 million), according to an industry insider -- heightening competition with rival ofo.

據(jù)一位業(yè)內(nèi)人士透露，全球最大的智能自行車共享公司之一摩拜單車將退還所有中國用戶的押金，押金規(guī)模約為10億元人民幣(合1.5億美元)，這標(biāo)志著它與對手Ofo的競爭正在加劇。

The refund was aided by Meituan's acquisition earlier this year of Mobike, a deal valued at $3.7 billion including debt.

這次退款得益于摩拜今年較早時(shí)被美團(tuán)收購。包括債務(wù)在內(nèi)，此項(xiàng)并購交易的價(jià)格達(dá)到37億美元左右。

Meituan, the food delivery and online services platform, is the world's fourth most valuable private technology company.

食品外賣和在線服務(wù)平臺美團(tuán)是全球價(jià)值第四大的非上市科技公司。

"The move is designed to establish a no-threshold, zero-burden and zero-condition deposit-free standard for the entire bike-sharing industry," Mobike said in a statement.

摩拜在一份聲明中表示：“此舉旨在為整個(gè)共享單車行業(yè)建立一個(gè)無門檻、零負(fù)擔(dān)、零條件的免押金標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。”

However, such a standard would pile pressure on smaller players who do not have the large balance sheets to absorb the risks of theft or vandalism to bikes.

不過，這樣的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)將消滅那些規(guī)模較小的公司，因?yàn)樗鼈儧]有龐大的資產(chǎn)負(fù)債表來吸收單車被破壞或盜竊的風(fēng)險(xiǎn)。

"By refunding deposits and going deposit-free we are making it easier to Mobike than everbefore," said Hu Weiwei, company founder.

摩拜創(chuàng)始人胡瑋煒表示：“通過退還和免除押金，我們將使摩拜比以往任何時(shí)候更容易被人們接受。”

Mobike has 200 million registered users across the world, although the deposit-free scheme will only apply in China, where users have paid up to Rmb 299 for their deposits.
