威廉·巴特勒·葉芝（William Butler Yeats），愛爾蘭詩人、劇作家，著名的神秘主義者。葉芝是“愛爾蘭文藝復興運動”的領袖。葉芝早年的詩作通常從愛爾蘭神話和民間傳說中取材，其語言風格則受到拉斐爾前派散文的影響，他曾被譽為“當代最偉大的詩人”。

1889年1月30日，23歲的葉芝遇見了美麗的女演員茅德·岡。詩人對她一見鐘情，詩人對她的強烈愛慕之情給詩人帶來了無窮的靈感，此后詩人創(chuàng)作了許多有關這方面的詩歌?！懂斈憷狭恕肪褪瞧渲幸皇?。當時的葉芝還是一名窮學生，對愛情充滿希望，對于感傷還只是一種假設和隱隱的感覺。因而這首詩沒有跌宕起伏的激動和宣泄，只有樸素的語言、舒緩的調子、淡淡的感傷，娓娓道來的平靜傾訴，讓人感到異常親切與溫馨。據(jù)說水木年華的《一生有你》就是由這首詩的靈感而來：“多少人曾愛慕你年輕時的容顏，可知誰愿承受歲月無情的變遷，多少人曾在你生命中來了又還，可知一生有你我都陪在你身邊?！?/p>
