The 1974 effects don't hold up but the story does. Directed by JohnGuillermin and starring Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, and William Holden,"The Towering Inferno" finds its victims trapped in a high risebuilding on fire (thus the film's title) and the audience is kept onthe edge of their seats never knowing who amongst the star-studded castis going to buy the farm next。
《火燒摩天樓》是1974年的老片子了，當年的特效別指望啥了，不過故事還是相當出彩，保羅·紐曼等人的演繹也很出色。故事講的就是一棟摩天大樓著了火，樓里人們無處逃生。觀眾們都看得神經緊張，不知道下一個輪到誰掛掉。
