從課堂上的一個(gè)可愛(ài)的瞬間說(shuō)起：

教繪本It Looked Like Spilt Milk時(shí)，棕色皮膚的衛(wèi)普，舉例說(shuō)：

“I look like chocolate but I am not a chocolate.” 我看著像巧克力，但我不是巧克力。

一整個(gè)班的小孩，都被逗笑了。

讓人想起，最近的世界大事件——Black Lives Matter，今天，就和衛(wèi)普一起聊一聊這一trending issue（熱點(diǎn)話題），以及個(gè)人的親身經(jīng)歷。

1.美國(guó)“Black Lives Matter”（黑人的命也是命）抗議運(yùn)動(dòng)，澳大利亞怎么看？

* 這件事成為新聞（bring this issue to light）是一個(gè)遺憾（shame）。

The Australian media澳洲媒體：

is very similar to American media 與美國(guó)報(bào)道的一樣

just recycle the same thing the American media is saying 只是重復(fù)美國(guó)媒體的報(bào)道

put a lot of blame on Trump 把罪責(zé)推到特朗普身上

2.Is there any protest in Australia now? 澳大利亞也抗議嗎？

In America, this event is still going worse（持續(xù)發(fā)酵）. 然而在澳大利亞，抗議的情況比美國(guó)好太多，因?yàn)椋?/p>

Australia is much better than America in terms of quality of life

在生活質(zhì)量（quality of life）方面，澳大利亞比美國(guó)好很多。

Australian government is much more supportive of disadvantaged people and communities.

澳大利亞政府更加支持弱勢(shì)群體（disadvantaged people）和社區(qū)。

3.Were you discriminated against ？你，受過(guò)歧視嗎？

上學(xué)時(shí)，有一次打架，8歲的衛(wèi)普被卷進(jìn)去。

老師不問(wèn)原因，也不聽(tīng)解釋（didn't listen to his story）,就把衛(wèi)普扔進(jìn)校長(zhǎng)辦公室。成年后的衛(wèi)普，坦言道：That was the worst experience. 那是我人生中最糟糕的經(jīng)歷！

問(wèn)他：Are you healed? 從那段傷害中，走出來(lái)了嗎？

他說(shuō)： Yes, I’m. 因?yàn)榇蠹叶疾欢隆?They didn’t understand.

在中國(guó)，只有在面試外教時(shí)，會(huì)被不公平對(duì)待，

有一次，跟一個(gè)Russian white guy一起面試，英語(yǔ)為母語(yǔ)的衛(wèi)普，工資卻低了一大截。

“當(dāng)天我就直接辭職了...I quit that job right away that day”，他說(shuō)。

盡管受到過(guò)不公平的待遇，但衛(wèi)普卻說(shuō)，“It isn’t indicative of my overall experience in China.”（但這并不能代表我在中國(guó)的全部經(jīng)歷。）

It’s really stupid to judge people by the colors. 根據(jù)膚色來(lái)衡量一個(gè)人簡(jiǎn)直太愚蠢了。

很多家長(zhǎng)不喜歡Asian looking teacher（亞洲面孔的老師）卻喜歡 Western looking teacher（西方面孔的老師），

但這不是家長(zhǎng)的錯(cuò)，培訓(xùn)機(jī)構(gòu)應(yīng)當(dāng)自己明白，同時(shí)使家長(zhǎng)明白：

What matters as a teacher！作為一個(gè)老師，什么才是重要的！

Many people are blind by their own prejudice.很多人被自己的偏見(jiàn)蒙蔽了雙眼。

很多家長(zhǎng)付了高昂的學(xué)費(fèi)，卻把孩子送到了not qualified teachers（不專業(yè)的老師）手中。

Language and race are two separated things. 語(yǔ)言與人種是兩碼事！

Language and teaching language are two different things, too.“會(huì)說(shuō)”與“會(huì)教”也是兩碼事！

4.With which words we can call yellow person and black person can be political correct or polite? 怎樣稱呼“黃種人”“黑種人”比較正確、合理？

現(xiàn)在膚色問(wèn)題變得很sensitive（敏感），Google已經(jīng)把“black list”（黑名單）更改為了“block list”。

The best solution is to use something else to describe someone apart from their ethnicity or skin colour. 與國(guó)際友人相處，最好不要描述一個(gè)人的種族和膚色。

You can describe them by using something they are wearing（衣服） or even something like their hairstyle（發(fā)型）。
