今天，精通漢語(yǔ)的Austrilian衛(wèi)普，要和大家一起聊聊“學(xué)漢語(yǔ)”這件事！

1.一個(gè)外國(guó)人，漢語(yǔ)可以好到什么程度？How good is your Chinese?

I don’t think it’s actually that good. 我覺(jué)得其實(shí)沒(méi)那么好——謙虛的回答方式

你太謙虛了：You’re being humble

平時(shí)在工作、教研時(shí)，衛(wèi)普會(huì)和一席的小伙伴中英文切換，

但在聊生活時(shí)，衛(wèi)普通常都會(huì)全中文，吐槽、八卦，毫無(wú)壓力！

但，也會(huì)在意自己的外國(guó)口音： self conscious of my accent

* be self conscious of… 介意…

* accent: 口音

2. Do other foreigners admire you ? 會(huì)漢語(yǔ)會(huì)不會(huì)被其他老外羨慕？

* Some are impressed： 很多人會(huì)非常驚嘆

* ask how I learnt so well： 問(wèn)是怎么把漢語(yǔ)學(xué)這么好的

* that is expected：聽(tīng)到他在青島待了這么多年，就覺(jué)得that is expected，沒(méi)啥好震驚的了。

* trick ：小把戲

沒(méi)學(xué)過(guò)漢語(yǔ)的人，真的不知道，漢語(yǔ)有多難。所以并不把“會(huì)漢語(yǔ)”當(dāng)成多厲害的事。

但是有的老外，斷斷續(xù)續(xù)學(xué)漢語(yǔ)，在中國(guó)十多年，還是什么都不會(huì)說(shuō)

語(yǔ)言環(huán)境不是萬(wàn)能的，還是要自己下功夫。

剛來(lái)中國(guó)時(shí)， I did admire foreigners that could make small talk with the taxi drivers 會(huì)超級(jí)羨慕能跟出租車(chē)司機(jī)，用漢語(yǔ)small talk的外國(guó)人。

* Small talk 搭訕、閑聊幾句

* admire 羨慕

* It really motivated me to learn as well 我也下決心要學(xué)好漢語(yǔ)

3. 外國(guó)人眼中的漢語(yǔ)

來(lái)（中國(guó)）之前的三個(gè)月： 3 months before coming . 在澳洲學(xué)了點(diǎn)漢語(yǔ)

落地到廣州后：landed in Guangzhou

發(fā)現(xiàn)，漢語(yǔ)裝備嚴(yán)重不足：how poorly prepared I was

漢語(yǔ)，不是鬧著玩的?。?！

Chinese is not a language to be learnt as a hobby or for fun.漢語(yǔ)不是可以拿來(lái)當(dāng)興趣、學(xué)著玩兒的語(yǔ)言

You have to commit to learning it. 你真得正兒八經(jīng)的去學(xué)！

* Commit：付出精力、長(zhǎng)期做。

4. 漢語(yǔ)學(xué)霸的突擊方法

* surround yourself with mainland friends 讓你周?chē)际侵袊?guó)大陸的朋友

* limit your foreign friends 盡量少交外國(guó)朋友

* make the most of the opportunity 好好抓住機(jī)會(huì)

除此之外，還有一個(gè)不是方法的方法：

* a Chinese girlfriend who likes to argue a lot 有個(gè)愛(ài)爭(zhēng)吵的女朋友

* learn Chinese pretty fast 得趕緊學(xué)漢語(yǔ)

* to keep up （跟女朋友吵架）才能不落后

5. Using instead of memorizing 單詞句子，不要背，要用！

No! 大部分外國(guó)人學(xué)漢語(yǔ)，都不太會(huì) memorize（背） words or sentences.

很多外國(guó)人學(xué)語(yǔ)言的方式是：使用 using!

* I learn the characters through texting with WeChat

漢字，居然是通過(guò)微信打字來(lái)學(xué)的！

* come across a character I have never met

碰上一個(gè)從沒(méi)見(jiàn)過(guò)的漢字

* try to use it 努力用它

* text other friends 發(fā)微信給別人

* day to day conversation 每天的對(duì)話中

外國(guó)人學(xué)漢語(yǔ)，更加看重的都是“使用”這門(mén)語(yǔ)言。

以前上過(guò)節(jié)目的職業(yè)模特Peter，北歐人，他來(lái)中國(guó)四個(gè)月，就可以對(duì)話、用漢語(yǔ)發(fā)朋友圈了。他的秘訣也是“用”: use the language as much as possible.

4. 漢語(yǔ)講的好，是一種怎樣的人生體驗(yàn)？

* the best reactions 最好玩的反應(yīng)

* when I am in Australia and I order at hotpot restaurants.我在澳洲的火鍋店點(diǎn)餐

然后，女服務(wù)員用漢語(yǔ)，對(duì)旁邊人說(shuō)：你看這個(gè)老外，長(zhǎng)得好帥啊。

”老外“衛(wèi)普就趕緊回答說(shuō)：啊，謝謝！

女服務(wù)員立刻害羞得紅了臉， they find out I speak Chinese….

并且，life 發(fā)生了變化 It makes a really big difference in my life

* Mandarin 普通話

* communicate with different cultural backgrounds than you. 用語(yǔ)言去與不同的文化背景交流，

* opens your perspective 打開(kāi)你的視角

* I’m in Australia now but I still drink hot water 人在澳洲，依然每天喝熱水

* I remember an old lady telling me it was good for my health. 他記得一個(gè)中國(guó)老太太告訴他：熱水有益健康

* I really did notice a difference 我的確看到了變化

* especially when I had a sore throat or a cold.尤其是嗓子疼、感冒的時(shí)候

這就是漢語(yǔ)帶來(lái)的變化。

衛(wèi)普，在節(jié)目里云淡風(fēng)輕，但他學(xué)漢語(yǔ)是很拼的。他就是“你必須非常努力，才能看起來(lái)毫不費(fèi)力”

他非常干凈、自律self-deciplined，

他長(zhǎng)期素食：a vegan for five years.

他長(zhǎng)期健身: a trainer for quite a long time

他長(zhǎng)期戒糖: Sugar is terrible

他長(zhǎng)期談著同一個(gè)女朋友 has been with the same girl for a long time

他長(zhǎng)期在一席工作著: only got late one time because of the traffic.

他長(zhǎng)期熱愛(ài)著漢語(yǔ)、學(xué)習(xí)著漢語(yǔ): try to practice everyday.

世上無(wú)難事，只要肯登攀（Nothing is difficult to the man who will try），漢語(yǔ)是這樣，英語(yǔ)更是如此，高手，從來(lái)都是“長(zhǎng)期主義者”。
