vi. 比較狀語從句

1. than/as后主語若是人稱代詞，該代詞既可用主格，也可用賓格。若代詞后還有動詞，則只能用主格。

China is stronger than she used to be.

中國比以前更強大。

He is taller than me by three years.

他比我大三歲。

2. 表示相同程度的比較：

1）as +原級+ as

She dances as well as her sister.

她舞跳得和她姐姐一樣好。

2）the same (+表示量度的名詞)+ as

Your watch is not the same as mine.

你的手表和我的不一樣。

3）as ... as從句中，若副詞as后的形容詞修飾一個單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞時，注意語序應(yīng)為：as +形容詞+a/an+名詞+ as

I am not as good a student as you.

我不是你這樣的好學(xué)生。

3. 表示較高程度的比較：

1）“the +比較級……，the +比較級……”表示“越……,就越……”

The more you read, the more you will know.

你讀的東西越多，你就知道得越多。

2）“the + 形容詞比較級+ of +名詞”表示兩者之間較為突出者“更加……”。

Tom is the older of the two students.

湯姆是兩個學(xué)生中較大的那個。

3）當(dāng)形容詞比較級修飾可數(shù)名詞作定語時，前面通常加不定冠詞。

John has a higher opinion of Mary than of Jane.

約翰對瑪麗評價要比對簡的評價高。

4. 表示最高程度時的結(jié)構(gòu)：

1）the +最高級+比較范圍

Changjiang River is the longest river in China.

長江是中國最長的河流。

He is the tallest student of us three .

他是我們?nèi)齻€中個子最高的。

2）比較級+ than + any other +名詞單數(shù)

比較級+than+any of The other+名詞復(fù)數(shù)

比較級+than+anyone else/anybody else/anything else。

China is larger than any other country in Asia.

China is larger than any of The other countries in Asia.

China is larger than any country else in Asia.

中國比亞洲任何國家都大。

3）比較級+ than + any +名詞單數(shù)（比較雙方不屬于同一范圍）

India is larger than any country in Africa.

印度比非洲的任何國家都大。

4）否定詞+ as/so ... as

No one is as old as our monitor in our class.

我們班里沒有人比我們班長年紀(jì)大。

5）否定詞+比較級

No student is cleverer than our monitor in our class.

我們班里沒有學(xué)生比我們班長聰明。

6）second to none意為“首屈一指，最好”

America is second to none in the world in terms of wealth.

美國是世界上首屈一指的富國。

7）有時候形容詞最高級前面不加定冠詞或加不定冠詞，表示“非?！?。

English is a most useful language in our daily life.

英語是我們?nèi)粘Ｉ钪幸环N很有用的語言。

5. 表示“最……之一”：

1）among +形容詞最高級+名詞復(fù)數(shù)

Nile River is the longest among the rivers in the world.

尼羅河是世界上最長的河流之一。

2）one of the + 形容詞最高級+名詞復(fù)數(shù)

Nile River is one of the longest rivers in the world.

尼羅河是世界上最長的河流之一。

6. 表示較低程度的比較

1）not + as/so +原級+ as

English is not so easy for me to learn as Chinese.

對我來說英語不如漢語容易學(xué)。

2）less +原級+ than

Japanese is less interesting to me than English.

對我來說日語不如英語有趣。

7. 可以修飾比較級的詞有：rather, much, many, still, even, far, any, a bit, a little, a lot, a great deal,還有表倍數(shù)和度量的名詞。

1）many修飾的比較級后接可數(shù)名詞

There are many more books in our library than in our class.

我校圖書館里的書遠比我們班里的書多得多。

2）much修飾的比較級后接不可數(shù)名詞

Though he has much more money , he isn't as happy as me.

盡管他有更多的錢，他卻沒有我快樂。

8. 可用于修飾最高級的詞有almost, nearly, much, very, by far, the next, the+序數(shù)詞。

This hat is by far/nearly/almost the biggest one I have seen.

這是我見過的最大的帽子。

9. 表示倍數(shù)的比較結(jié)構(gòu)有：

1）A is twice/three times, etc. + bigger/longer/higher/older, etc. + than B

This building is twice taller than the one we built last year.

這座樓是我們?nèi)ツ杲ǖ臉堑膬杀陡摺?

2）A is three times/four times, etc. + as big/long/high/old, etc. + as B

Huanghe River is three times as long as this river.

黃河是這條河的三倍長。

3）A is three times/four times, etc. + the size/length/height/age, etc. + of B

Nanjing Road is four times the width of the road in front of our school.

南京路是我校前面路寬的四倍。

4）A is one-third/one-fourth, etc. + the size/length/height/width/age, etc + of B

This tree is one-third the height of the one in front of our teaching building.

這棵樹是我們教學(xué)樓前那棵樹的三分之一高。

10. 比較狀語從句中的避免重復(fù)：

1）than引導(dǎo)從句時，從句中常常省略與主句相同的部分。

This house is less expensive than the other one (is).

這座房子不如那座房子貴。

2）than從句中，常用助動詞do或其他助動詞或情態(tài)動詞代替與主句相同的部分。

He works harder than I do .

他學(xué)習(xí)比我更努力。

3）從句中用one, that或those分別代替主句中的相應(yīng)可數(shù)名詞單數(shù)、不可數(shù)名詞或可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)。

The population in China is larger than that in India.

中國的人口比印度的人口多。

4）than ever/before/usual/never/reported/was necessary/to do sth.

He works harder than before .

他比以前學(xué)習(xí)更努力。
