滑冰

Over the ice so smooth and bright,

越過(guò)亮閃閃的冰面，

How fast we skim along!

我們滑得飛快;

This is one of the merriest sports

這世界上最開(kāi)心的運(yùn)動(dòng)

That to hardy boys belong.

是小小男子漢的最?lèi)?ài),

Hurrah! hurrah! for the ice and snow;

好啊，來(lái)吧!擁抱燦爛的冰雪!

We buckle our skates, and away we go!

冰刀扣好，享受前進(jìn)的喜悅!

The ice is strong as strong can be,

冰層是要多硬有多硬，

And what have we to fear?

我們有什么好怕?

It looks like a solid crystal lake,

湖水像凝成了一大塊水晶，

So beautifully clear.

透明得那么無(wú)瑕

Hurrah! hurrah! though winter it is,

好啊，來(lái)吧!就算這是嚴(yán)冬，

There’s nothing in summer so fine as this.

可夏天的樂(lè)趣，哪里有這般生動(dòng)!

Up again quickly, my gallant friend,

快爬起來(lái)，我勇敢的朋友，

And don’t lie groaning there;

別躺在地下叫喚!

You had better be moving as fast as you can,

你要是不拿出頂尖的速度，

Or you’ll feel the biting air.

刺骨的寒冷就來(lái)陪伴。

Hurrah! hurrah! let it blow—let it blow!

好啊，來(lái)吧!同朔風(fēng)比上一比，

Our limbs are active and strong, you know.

那時(shí)候你才清楚，我們腿腳的活力

Come hither, come hither, both young and old,

快到這里來(lái)吧，不論年輕年老，

Nor sit all day by the fire!

別整天坐在火爐旁!

Come, stir about! you will soon feel warm,

If that is your heart’s desire.

On the lake of ice so strong and clear ?

辜負(fù)這堅(jiān)實(shí)又透明的湖冰?

This is the sport for men and boys;

這是一場(chǎng)男子漢的比賽，

The girls in the house may stay:

姑娘們可以待在屋里;

But better for them it would be, I’m sure,

但我相信，她們還不如

In the clear, cold air to play.

也到清冷的空氣中嬉戲

Hurrah! hurrah! there is nothing we know

好啊，來(lái)吧!想讓美麗披上光彩，

Which can give to beauty a lovelier glow.

我們知道，什么也沒(méi)它厲害!

Come all, come all! come great and small!

大家都來(lái)吧，不論大人小孩!

This pleasure can never grow tame;

這樣的歡愉，永遠(yuǎn)別想生厭;

At morning and evening, and every hour,

白天與夜晚，時(shí)時(shí)與刻刻，

Year after year, ’tis the same.

年復(fù)一年，熱情沒(méi)有改變。

Hurrah! hurrah! may it ever be so!

好啊，來(lái)吧!未來(lái)也這樣多好!

Then we shall never grow old, you know.

那時(shí)候你就清楚，我們將永不會(huì)變老。
