Well, "I head down to the break room" — I go to the break room — "and get some hot water" from "the water cooler." 嗯，“我前往休息室，并從飲水機里接了一些熱水。”

The water cooler, "cooler," is a little machine that has water and you can get hot water or you can get cold water. 飲水機(cooler)，是裝有水的小型機器，你既可以從中接到熱水，也可以接到冷水。

That expression, the water cooler, is very common. “飲水機”這個詞組很常見。

When people say, "I heard it at the water cooler," or "around the water cooler," 當有人說，“我是在飲水機旁邊聽到的”，

that usually refers to people who are gossiping — who are talking about things they probably shouldn't. 那通常是指有人在聊八卦——有人正在說他們可能不應(yīng)該說的事。

Well, I went to the water cooler and I made myself some tea, because I love drinking tea. 那個，我走到飲水機旁邊并泡了一些茶，因為我特別喜歡喝茶。

A snack, "snack," is a piece of food that you eat between breakfast and lunch, 零食(snack)，是你在早餐與午餐之間，

A vending machine, "vending," is a big machine where you can buy, usually, food. The verb, to vend, "vend," means to sell. 自動販賣機(vending)，通常是你能購買東西的大型機器。動詞“vend”是“賣”的意思。
