英語笑話:Punishment 懲罰

A ten-year-old student asked, " Teacher，would you punish me for something I didn’t do? "

"Of course not," the teacher replied.

The kid said，" Good，because I didn't do my homework. "

一個10歲的學(xué)生問：“老師，你會因為我沒有做過的事而處罰我嗎?”

2. "punish sb. for sth." 是指“因為某事而處罰某人”，for在此當(dāng)介詞，有“因為、由于”的意思，如：The teacher punished him for his absence.老師因為他缺席而處罰他。若要表不以何種方式處罰，可以用with代替for,，如：He drove through the red light so the policeman punished him with a fine.他闖了紅燈，所以瞥察對他進(jìn)行罰款處理。

3. fine [fain ] n. 罰金

4. "Of course not," the teacher replied.

老師回答：“當(dāng)然不會”

5. The kid said, "Good, because 1 didn't do my homework." 這個孩子說：“大好了!因為我沒做家庭作業(yè)。”

"good"在這里是感嘆詞，表示滿意或贊成時發(fā)出的感嘆語，有“太好了、行、可以、好”的意思。
