| Bronwen gathered wild-flowers | 布蓉溫采集野花， |
| Up-and-down the lane; | 從小徑這邊到那邊； |
| Her gathering touch upon them. | 她的手觸到花朵， |
| Sweeter was than rain. | 花感到比雨水還甜。 |
| Now a blossom overblown, | 一朵花開過(guò)了盛期， |
| Now a bud begun— | 一朵花正待綻開—— |
| Her eye that lightened on them | 她射到花上的目光 |
| Was quicker than the sun. | 閃得比陽(yáng)光還快。 |
| One by one she named them, | 她逐個(gè)給花兒取名， |
| Oh, she did express | 哦，用美名一串 |
| In her pretty namings | 她充分顯示出那些 |
| All their prettiness: | 花兒的美麗嬌妍： |
| Some were fit for virgins, | 有的名恰好給處女， |
| Some for merry dames, | 有的名給快活的太太， |
| And the love with which she named them | 她給花命名時(shí)的愛心 |
| Was lovelier than their names. | 比花名更加可愛。 |
