Where the water-lilies go	一朵朵睡蓮在水上
To and fro,	來去漂蕩，
Rocking in the ripples of the water,	隨著細浪輕漾，
Lazy on a leaf lies the Lake King's daughter,	湖王的女兒懶洋洋地躺在蓮葉上，①
And the fait winds shake her.	微風把她搖晃。
Who will come and take her?	誰要來把她帶走？
I will! I will!	我要！我要！
Keep still! Keep still!	別吵！別吵！
Sleeping on a leaf lies the Lake King's daughter ...	湖王的女兒正在蓮葉上睡覺……
Then the wind comes skipping	風來了，蹦蹦跳跳，
To the lilies on the water;	跨過水上的睡蓮一朵朵；
And the kind winds wake her.	溫和的風把她喚醒，
Now who will take her?	誰來把她帶走？
With a laugh she is slipping	她一笑就溜，
Through the lilies on the water.	穿過水上的睡蓮一朵朵。
Wait! Wait!	等一等！等一等！
Too late, too late!	來不及嘍！來不及嘍！
Only the water-lilies go	只有睡蓮一朵朵
To and fro,	在水上來去漂蕩，
Dipping, dipping,	沉浸，沉浸，
To the ripples of the water.	浸入水上的細浪。
